This project involved the
creation of an
environmentally enabled
‘village extension’ in a
highly sensitive ecological
area in Dorset to include a
new school and sports
pitches, community care
centre, revitalisation of the
village environment,
workspace, live/work as
well as a mixed housing
format.

7. Brownfield Redevelopment
A mixed residential and
workspace scheme on a
site currently occupied by
derelict holiday chalets.
The land provides one of
very few opportunities in
the area for development
beyond any identified flood
risk area.
Submissions were made
to the Local Development
Framework and the Council
have assessed the site
under their Strategic
Housing Land Availability
Assessment (SHLAA)

8. Market Town Regeneration
The project involved
delivering over 300 houses
on two sites with 40%
affordable thresholds,
social and community
facilities, a refurbished
Town Hall with museum, a
new street frontage building
and the development of a
new food retail quarter with
potential for residential
units or a budget hotel.

9. Tourism & Leisure
Conversion of the castle -
the only habitable castle on
Scotland's famous Loch
Ness - into apartments,
together with conversion
and development for some
80,000sq ft of additional of
new-build, collegiate style
accommodation centred on
the old steddings.
Other parts of the 400
acres surrounding the
castle were also subject to
applications for additional
new-build accommodation.
