14 October 2013
Rajsha Productions, an Australia based Production company is releasing the Tamil song
"Ilamei" to a worldwide audience on Oct 14th 2013.
This song has been composed and produced by Philip John from Sydney Australia who has
previously composed for a few Kollywood Films with his brother Jerry under the name
Philip Jerry including the 1995 film Thotta Chinungi. After many years, Philip John has
again scored for a Tamil project.
Toronto based artist, Tha Prophecy has sung the vocals for this track. Tha Prophecy, a
Canadian Tamil rapper, has recently worked with Kollywood's A list music directors
including Yuvan Shanker Raja, namely for Adhi Bhagavan and Thillu Mullu. This time he
has collaborated with Rajsha Productions and sung in Tamil for this Australian project.
Producer of the project Ghirija Jayarraj who is based in Melbourne wrote the lyrics for this
song. This International project initiated as a teaser for a bilingual feature film, which
Rajsha Productions is looking to venture into. As part of the teaser a music video has been
made for which "Ilamei" the song was composed. In line with the feature film's theme,
"Ilamei" the song celebrates youth and life.
The song was in development for two months and had its own journey from Melbourne
where Rajsha Productions is based to Chennai where Kollywood Music director Karthik
Raja introduced Tha Prophecy from Toronto and to Sydney where Australian actor Chum
Ehelepola introduced Philip John to this project. The song was composed and produced in
Sydney while the vocals were recorded in Toronto. Hence Ilamei can be claimed as a truly
international project. The song in Tamil is aimed to a world wide Tamil audience. At this
point, only the Tamil song is being released on iTunes and various other online outlets for
download on the 14th of October.
A Hindi version of this song will also be made and released, remixes to follow. Following
the song releases, the music video for this will also be released on iTunes and various
other online outlets for download and on various TV channels worldwide.

by Rajsha Productions, with Producers Gopi Jeyarraj and Ghirija Jayarraj, Directed by
Ghirija Jayarraj, Filmed by Melbourne based cinematographer Mark Kenfield and edited
by Faiz Sharif, also from Melbourne. Approximately 50 cast and crewmembers were
involved in the making of this Music video, which had preproduction of 3 months,
production of 3 days and postproduction of 2 weeks. The music video features
approximately 30 people with a main cast of 11. The cast includes Melbourne and Sydney
based actors Faezeh Parkes, Siddharth Dhar, Guru Gill, Sameer Vashishat, Magan Sarna,
Muthiah Jeyaraj, Sounderajan Iyer, Karan Battan and Philip John.
