On Tuesday, Dec. 6, 2011, Imagine! SmartHomes tech guys Kevin Harding and Alex Andrews presented at the Boulder/Denver New Tech No-For-Profit night. It was a great opportunity for them to introduce Imagine!’s SmartHome project (and other tech projects Imagine! is involved in), introduce a couple of small projects that we need assistance with, recruit volunteers, and get some help/guidance from a highly technical crowd. 3. What We Would Like To Accomplish Tonight
Project One: Arm Support
•A forearm support that could be utilized by a
person with a physical disability to stabilize their
arm in order to use a touch screen device.
•The support should be adjustable and able to
attach to multiple surfaces such as a
wheelchair, desk chair or tabletop.

4. Project Two: Motion Detection Synthesizer
•Allows an individual with limited movement to
participate in music generation by controlling
virtual instruments.
•Motion detection or camera recognition
•Similar to GarageBand
•Utilizes concurrent inputs
•For people that do not have the dexterity or range
of motion to control a keyboard or similar input
device.
