- 1. June 19, 2014 Greg Wellems Communities of Practice Alliance Summit
- 2. Communities of Practice “Communities of Practice,” are groups of people who share a concern or a passion for something, and work together to do it better.
- 3. The American Network of Community Options and Resources (ANCOR) is a national, nonprofit trade association representing more than 800 private community providers of services to people with disabilities. Combined, ANCOR services over 400,000 individuals with disabilities and work to share policy, solutions and strengthen communities.
- 4. • Advocacy to CMS and other federal levels for funding and legislative changes that will promote the use of technology to improve service delivery and reduce costs. • Education of members concerning opportunities for use of technologies to reduce costs and improve quality in the areas of service delivery and administration. ANCOR’s Technology Priorities
- 5. • Environmental Control Pilots – 2 locations • Telehealth Pilot – 2 homes • Fitbit Pilots – 1 current, adding 2 additional locations • Medication Dispensers – Several Supported Independent Living locations • iPads – Throughout the organization, Various uses • Remote supports – 8 current locations (adding more each month)
