* After a long experience of 28 years of foundry practice, B. R. Technocast has
commenced the New Foundry with the name of POOJA TECHNOCAST to
manufacture Gray iron and S. G. Iron ( Ductile iron)castings as per Indian and
Overseas Standards at Shapar (Veraval) Industrial Area situated about 17 kms
away from Rajkot on the way to Gondal / Junagadh. Pooja Technocast is a

* We have installed Medium Frequency Furnaces 300kgs, 500kgs & 1000 kg each
of Inductotherm (India) Ltd., the Mechanized Sand Plant, ARPA 350 and ARPA
600 Molding Machines are supplied by Shree Shakti Equipments, Coimbatore
to achieve excellent quality surface
* Finish with close dimension tolerance. Also the quality control wing is
strengthened with the help of Q6 Quantron GMBH Germany make on line
spectrometer, Microscope with magnification of 40x,100x,200x,600x and
attached software determining shape, size, length, nodularity of graphite,
phase etc., Chemical and Full Fledged Sand Testing Laboratory.

PLANT CAPACITY:-
The plant has the installed capacity to produce 700 MT/ Month
of Grey Iron and S. G. Iron Castings. The plant is having area of around 3,50,000 sq.
ft. and built up area is 1,00,000 sq.ft. Pooja Technocast is equipped with the full
fledged Manufacturing and Quality Control Facilities to meet the casting demand of
Indian and Overseas market

The management has the vision to expand
the foundry capacity and achieve the target to
produce 2000 MT month of castings by
installing high pressure molding line, in near
future. The foundry will meet the requirements
of castings of various sectors of industries like
Automobiles, Tractors, Heavy Earth Moving,

Railways, Marine, Compressors, Valves, Pumps,
Packaging and Refrigeration etc.

CASTING PROCESS:
Casting is a manufacturing process by which a liquid material is
(usually) poured into a mold, which contains a hollow cavity of the
desired shape & then allowed to solidify. The solid casting is then
ejected or broken out to complete the process. Casting may be used to
form hot liquid metals or various materials that cold set after mixing of
components. Casting is most often used for making complex shapes
that would be otherwise difficult or uneconomical to make by other
methods. POOJA TECHNOCAST is engaged in doing sand casting.
15. SAND CASTING:
Sand Casting is one of the most
popular & simplest types of casting that has
been used for centuries. Sand casting allows for
smaller batches to be made compared to
permanent mold casting & a very reasonable
cost. Not only does this method allow for
manufacturers to create products for good cost
there are other benefits to sand casting such as
there are very little size operations, Sand
Casting also allows for most metals to be cast
depending in the type of sand used for the
molds.
17. AUTOMATIC GREEN SAND PLANT
We have installed latest Shree
Shakti make Green Sand
Reconditioning plant to meet
the demand of Green Sand for
the Molding Machines. It is
equipped with intensive
mixers of 250 Kg & 500 Kg
capacity.
The addition of moisture
is through PLC control to
achieve the
consistency in quality of
the prepared green sand
to ensure the production
of the castings free from
blow holes, pin holes etc.
18. MOULDING MACHINE
We have installed a pair of
ARPA 350 molding machine
which can accommodate box
size of 20” x 22” x 5”/ 7”
height & 24”x 28 ” x 7”/ 9”/
11”Height. The capacity of
the molding machine is to
produce 40 Moulds/hr. The
production of mold boxes is
around 950 boxes / day
We have installed a pair of
ARPA 600 molding machine with
box size of 32” x 38” x 12”
Height. The capacity of the
molding machine will be to
produce 35 Moulds/hr. The
production of mold boxes will be
around 850 boxes/ day.

20. FETTLING & FINISHING
We have installed of hanger type shot blasting
machine, Cutting Machine16”Heavy Swing Frame
Grinder, Heavy Pedestal Bench Grinders, Flexible
Grinders, and Pencil Grinders etc. are installed to
meet the excellent surface finishing requirements of
the castings.
21. MATERIAL HANDLING:
For treatment of S.G.Iron, we have installed over head
Electric Cranes of 5MT. Also 1 MT Hoist is installed at
Knock Out to remove castings from the poured mold boxes.
Two nos. hoists of Capacity 1.0 MT each are installed at
molding machines for lifting and closing of mold boxes.

full-fledge advanced technology oriented
Laboratory within the Factory for our
material testing purpose. We can test our
raw material as well as our finished goods
too. We have departed our laboratory in
three sections for different kinds of material
testing which are as under:
