NCRB
survey
sta?s?cs
,needless
to
say
shameful
for
the
country
tell
us
an
Untold
story.
5. Our
Priori?es
EDUCATE:
Educa?on
is
the
basic
solu?on
to
all
our
problems
.
Educa?on
would
ins?ll
women
with
confidence
,skills
which
would
lead
to
high
levels
of
economic
involvement
and
independence
and
hence
to
high
levels
of
equality.
EMPOWER:
Empowering
women
with
certain
skills
and
abili?es
to
safeguard
themselves
,to
achieve
success
,to
help
them
voice
their
opinions
and
to
increase
their
decision
making
power.
EMPLOY:
Employment
of
women
is
an
important
step
towards
our
Walk
to
Equality
The
Indian
growth
story
depends
significantly
on
realizing
the
poten?al
of
women
who
contribute
to
48%
of
Indian
popula?on
,providing
access
to
financial
services
such
as
credit
and
insurance
.
ENCOURAGE:
Encouraging
women
is
the
prime
need
of
the
hour,so
that
they
can
turn
their
cant’s
into
cans
and
their
pains
into
plans.
6. The
Solu?on:
We
aim
to
empower
women
at
two
levels,one
in
which
at
the
grassroot
level
that
is
through
self-‐
help
i.e
“Atma-‐Suraksha”
and
the
other
at
the
community
level,
i.e
“Sarvasva
Suraksha”.
• Distribu2on
of
self
defense
kits.
• Introduc2on
of
self
defense
techniques
as
a
part
of
the
curriculum
Atma-‐
Suraksha
• Provisions
for
arrangement
of
Voca2onal
Training
to
increase
employability.
• Imapar2ng
educa2on
through
the
use
of
technology
to
each
and
every
girl
and
women
in
the
country.
Sarvasva-‐
Suraksha
7. Atma-‐Suraksha
The
Suraksha
Kit:
The
kit
would
consist
of
a
Pepper
spray
boPle
and
a
Ninja
Kubaton
is
a
small
wooden
pocket-‐size
key-‐chain
s?ck,
great
to
be
used
for
self
defence
techniques,
with
a
non-‐lethal
blunt
?p
which
can
be
used
by
women
to
jab
&
give
painful
s?mulus
to
deter
or
escape
a
person
grabbing
or
holding.This
would
provide
a
hands
on
shield
to
women
at
their
which
they
can
use
in
emergency
situa?ons.
The
Suraksha
Abhiyan:
This
would
involve
addi?on
of
self-‐defense
techniques
like
mar?al
arts
in
all
schools
as
a
part
of
the
cuuriculum.
It
should
be
made
compulsory,
the
students
would
require
to
have
to
aPain
a
certain
degree
of
excellence
before
they
complete
their
school
educa?on.This
should
be
implemented
for
all
private
schools
and
all
schools
under
the
Sarva
Shiksha
Abhiyan.

ins?tu?ons
.The
women
can
themselves
start
their
own
businesses
using
the
skills
they
acquire
with
the
help
of
the
Suraksha
Gurukuls.
The
Suraksha

This
would
be
a
one
stop
portal
for
redressing
all
complaints
regarding
any
issues
concerning
women,they
would
be
provided
help
within
24
hours
of
the
complaint
.This
would
also
act
as
gateway
through
which
would
impart
educa?on
through
videos
even
to
rural
villages
.The
use
of
applica?ons
and

to

be
