This document discusses designing for the Internet of Things (IoT). It argues that when connecting things generates new meaning, that is the essence of designing for IoT. It suggests designing IoT systems by focusing on connected ecosystems, rules and scripts, and using data as a glue and enabler. It also notes that the future is not just about network-enabled products, but ordinary products, and that this future is already here.
