17. Case Study: AAA Allied Group
IT Reports And Changes Took Too Long
AAA’s IT team was spending too much time supporting, changing, and altering existing
reports along with creating new ones using Crystal Reports. IT VP: “I was desperate to
find a solution that would put report creation in the hands of the people who had the most
information about the business.”
Tableau Dashboards and Reports Shared Instantly in Sharepoint
Tableau installed to automate how information is organized, make it easier to interpret,
and automate distribution. All custom reports moved to Tableau, and then individuals
consume through SharePoint portal and manipulate data themselves.
• Broader-range reports allow them to drill down to the information, see information in
a more macro viewpoint
• “People collaborating more often because they have information at their fingertips
they didn’t have available before.”
20. “Making data easy to see and understand
is one of the great opportunities of our
time.”
