Sacrifice of thanksgiving and praise
1. Sacrifice Of Thanksgiving & Praise Leaflet by Apostle Tendo Isaac
Shalom, June greetings in the name of Yeshua!
The Lord spoke to Apostle Tendo Isaac," it’s not only saying thank you but you need to
speak out what I have done. “I didn’t serious take note of the word I received, later the
word was always coming to me. It was time to act get in scripture and know about
thanksgiving and its significance, it was amazing after going through all scriptures
mentioning thanksgiving.
I realized this was the same reason why my friend Stephen sent me a message and told
me he had so much to tell but after giving him a call he said, “I knows your prayer life but
please start thanking God always in your prayers.”
Saints, thanksgiving is first mentioned in the Old Testament in Leviticus 7 explaining how
the children of Israel were given the Law on how to make the different offerings. They
are six in number (6); burnt offerings, meat/grain offering, sin offering, consecrations/
repayment offering and finally peace/ fellowship offering.
Leviticus 7:12, if he offers it for a thanks giving, then he shall offer with the sacrifice of
thanksgiving..., the other regulations are very important to take note of. The Greek word
for thanksgiving is eucharistia meaning thankfulness, to give thanks. Where even Christ
offered thanks while with the disciples they broke bread together which was a symbol of
His body and took the cup of vine which was a symbol of His blood for the New Testament
( Mathew 26:17- 30, Mark 14:12- 26, Luke 22:1-20).
Now, Hebrews 13:15-16 describe about the sacrifice of praise; that is, the fruit of our lips
giving thanks to His name. But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such
sacrifices God is well pleased.
Saints, the Old Testament was an example and a shadow of the heavenly just like Moses
was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle, the Old Testament
pictured or visionaries of the New Testament. That fully answers the question are we
meant as believers to offer sacrifice yet Christ paid it all on the cross at Calvary, the bold
and loud answer is YES.
Apostle Tendo Isaac has posted this question to you, "royal priest where is your
sacrifice?"
2. I wish to congratulate you child of God upon being elected as a royal priest through Christ
who is the High priest. Let's break some bread together; understand your position, then
the responsibility that comes with it. There is no king that has no dominion just as there is
no priest that does not present sacrifice. Every believer must offer sacrifice just as
Apostle Peter explains we are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a
peculiar people; NOTE WHY, that you should show forth the praises of Him who called you
out of darkness into His marvelous light: which in time past we were not a people but now a
people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
In the Old Testament the priest’s major role was sacrifice which now as New Testament
believers called forth as able ministers who are both kings and priests unto God must do
willingly and with greater knowledge to attain the reward. But the question here is, should
we offer the blood of animals and other items for our justification again, certainly not!
We are supposed to offer spiritual sacrifice which needs to come from our hearts by the
Holy Spirit, "Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to
offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ," I Peter 2:5
With all the different sacrifices of the New Testament allow me shade light on sacrifice
of thanksgiving and praise.
Is there a difference between sacrifice of thanksgiving and sacrifice of praise?
My answer is yes. The Greek word for praise is ainesis transliteration meaning is to act,
confess, thank offering. And the Greek word of thanksgiving is eucharistia transliteration
meaning grateful, thankful. This is what I believe; Psalms 26:5-7 explains that before I
compass thine altar, O LORD: I will wash my hands in innocency: that I may be able to
publish with the voice of thanksgiving to tell of all thy wondrous works. LORD, I have loved
the habitation of thy house, and the place where thine honour dwelleth. Psalms 100:3-5
explains, know that the LORD he is God: it is he that has made us, and not we ourselves; we
are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and
into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good;
3. his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. The sacrifice of praise
is the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name continually.
This clearly shows a difference, but what is it then?
The Spirit of truth told me after the word that had dropped in my spirit which was," it’s
not only saying thank you but you need to speak out what I have done." Therefore the
sacrifice of thanksgiving is the gratefulness of heart, the feel or grateful language
towards God however; sacrifice of praise is the act or expression of the gratitude towards
God. Underscore this, that voice of thanksgiving; depicts the gratitude the psalmist had
towards God which the Lord says enter with such thanksgiving to his gates, however, the
publication is the expression of the gratitude towards God, enter therefore with such
sacrifice of praise in his courts to be thankful and bless his name.
May the word of God dwell in you richly!
Shalom
