Profile
As a creative designer I have a passion for making things look good for the web. I aim to
perfect everything that I create either individually or as a team, having experience in both.
Having finished my BSc (Hons) degree in Web Design at Staffordshire University in May 2015
I have the skills to add to my passion and creativity.
The World Wide Web has evolved so much in the past few years alone but the balance is
still substance over style. My aim is not only to make the web look a better place, but to
make it much more user friendly through design.

2. Experience
Freelance Web Designer February 2011 - Present
• Created, managed and maintained several web projects as an outside hobby whilst
studying at university particularly in the music industry helping out new artists.
• Worked with local businesses to develop them both an online brand and web presence.
• Worked with various Content Management Systems such as WordPress and Ghost.

Pass2Pro Limited August 2013 – August 2014
• Redesigned the current Pass2Pro model and passport system with a new user interface
focusing on more user-friendly methods and techniques.
• Created various pieces of artwork such as flyers, web graphics, social media banners and
company documentation.
• Fulfilled as part of a placement year during University in which I travelled to Manchester
to work.
NHS Stoke September 2009
• Assisted with several web and graphic projects for the local NHS websites and projects.
• Worked in a team to accomplish results in graphic projects.

4. Interests
My interests are largely dominated by sports. Sadly, I don’t get to play as often as I used to
but I’m still widely involved in many sports. I regularly attend football matches, whether it
be a local match or a professional game involving my side, Stoke City. If not attending, my
time is largely dominated by watching football from all over the world whether that be
Argentina Primera Division on a Saturday night or the Bundesliga throughout the weekend.
I volunteer and assist a local Adults Sunday football league, the Potteries and District
Sunday League, by producing their fixtures for all divisions alongside a committee who run
the league for the clubs. This doesn’t just involve fixtures; it also involves decision-making,
public speaking and generally being social.
Aside from the football, I regularly contribute to a friends social media account and
website, The Fight Buzz. They, and sometimes I, provide round by round updates for all the
big domestic fights as well as some of the international bouts. Interacting with the 25,000+
followers is a great insight into the world of boxing.
In recent times I have grown fonder of the American sports such as Basketball and
American Football. I find both great to watch and have given both a crack at playing at a
very basic level.
From my portfolio items you will have gathered that I have a liking for music. I’m always
actively seeking new music from bands that people haven’t yet heard of and thus my
playlist consists of bands unknown to many, but it gives me great pleasure to help these
artists and spread their name. Of course, I do still like some of the more mainstream artists.
I’m currently enjoying a bit of Foals whilst also going back to my younger days with The
Stone Roses.
Aside from the sports and music I am always playing about in Photoshop and trying out
new things on the web always learning as I go through, such is the world of web and graphic
design.
