Fentanyl pain patches have been linked to accidental exposures and child fatalities, so the FDA is ordering them to be relabeled. The FDA is also stepping up monitoring of medical devices after approval instead of taking a "head-in-the-sand" approach, in response to insufficient oversight allowing issues to persist.
