Subject: January Sales Report
The January sales report presents the income generated from disability insurance, life insurance,
and total income. It also demonstrates the changes in income from the sales in December and the
sales of January. This report is based on company account records.
January Sales Results
The pie charts below compare the income for January 2015 and January 2014. It also separates
the two different sales into disability insurance and life insurance.
In January, we brought in a total income of $10, 010 for disability and life insurance. In
December, we brought in a total income of $28,121. That is a difference on $18,111. December’s
income included business policies, which resulted in higher earnings. January’s income were
from non-business clients. Therefore, it caused us to bring in a lower income than December.
The following graphics show the income from disability insurance and life insurance in addition
to total income from the two insurances. Again, we compare the income of January 2015 and
December 2014.

Income from Disability Insurance
The sales from December to January decreased by $5,937. This change is due sales being from
non-business clients, whereas December’s sales included business policies, which resulted in
higher earnings.
Income from Life Insurance
Again, the income from December to January decreased. It went down by $12,174. This change
is also due to December’s sales contained business policies.
Total Income
We made $10,010 in sales for disability insurance for the months January and December. Life
insurance made $28,121 for the months of January and December. It is clear that life insurance
brings in more income than disability insurance.
Recommendations
To generate a greater income, we need to sell more business policies versus having sales being
from non-business clients. To bring in more clients and keep the clients we have, we will offer
benefits and promotions. These offers will give our company the advantage over others when
keeping current clients and gaining new ones. We will also offer education plans and referrals.
We need to focus our marketing efforts on business policies. We will be having a meeting on
bettering our marketing efforts in the future. The meeting will consist of new ideas for plans, our
strategies now, and new strategies to help profit the company. This will result in better earnings.
Altogether, we are a profiting company that plans to continue to grow. We appreciate all of our
