With no weaknesses inside, the person cannot be strong. With no something to improve, there will be no encouragement to force ourselves to become stronger. What is the different between the word strength and weakness? What is the point that makes a person “weak”? And what is the point that makes a person “strong”? A weak person who has a willing can give that person an encouragement to become stronger unlike a person who have always been strong which can become weaker anytime. No one will question or make a comment which one of the words is a better one, because everyone has both of them. It depends on you and yourself. The book Black Boy by Richard Wright, Alan Osmond, many famous musicians, show that even though there are so many difficulties in life, such as racism, disabilities, disease and many others, but because weaknesses, can make people become stronger.
The meanings of the words are not so important as much as the real willing of the word. The word “weaknesses” is not a despicable thing, even if we feel that it is sometimes offended but we can still sense it. As well as the word “strength” that is not always a praiseworthy thing, which sometimes can make people overlook something important. So, why weaknesses can make people become stronger? Why you were given weakness, a problem to overcome? For example, in the book Black Boy by Richard Wright, the main character has to face with many unpredictable things in his life such as racism in world between Black and White. However, with this weakness, making him wants to be more accepted, with his courage, making him wants to be equaled to any others. He uses his weakness to form the word “strength”, and encourage him to be more successful which can say that he uses his weaknesses to make him stronger (quot;
Black Boyquot;
by Richard Wright”).
However, sometimes people need something to trust and believe in. Alan Osmond, a woman who had multiple sclerosis for almost 26 years, overcame her weakness because she believes and had a faith in God. She stated “because of the tests and struggles, the work and suffering that I went through with a goal and desire to get better, I have developed more patience and understanding. I have been drawn closer to my God and to my family and wife who is my caregiver.” Even though she used to question herself, why her, but because she puts her trust to the Lord and learns not to undo her own understanding, she found that she has found peace and better health by letting God leads her the path. These can show that, since there is something that people can believe, it can encourage them to have a faith to become stronger (Alan).
Sometimes for someone, the weakness is not a big problem to them at all. Many Famous musicians or other famous person such as Itzhak Perlman, Paul Stanley, Ray Charles, many more, who have born with disabilities, can become famous even though they all have their weaknesses. This is not because everybody takes a pity on them, but because they all have skills, something that impress us to like them. They are good examples which shows that their weaknesses are not problems to them at all as long as people learn how to adapt them and not to feel regret about it. Doing our best indicates that we have fulfilled our life, do not waste the time wrongly, because if the result is win or lose. Then it is not a big deal. This is how can our weaknesses make you stronger.
But comes to think of it, how would it be if sometimes people can gave up their strength to be weak; by holding to your strength too much, you weakness will be visible, as it will make you more weak. If you feel weak, you should accept it, don’t force yourself into it; if you lose, you should accept that you did not win, for lying to yourself so you could be strong will only humiliate yourself.
Is it true that strength is depending on weaknesses? Many people agree that it is true; it is a healing process in which it helps us to consider a solution which it also makes us strong in the end. There is no point to fear or scare their own weakness, but learn it, feel it and fix it, making your own path right straight to where your weaknesses are and hit into it. It will be a great shield that can protect you from people’s mistakes and help you not to repeat them. Try to let the weakness be the light to lead the way.
Work Cites:
Alan, Osmond. quot;
