2. The Director
• Director: this person is responsible for the project and
how it is executed. This person usually comes up with
the genre and plot, hires the actors, arranges the
location and directs the filming and editing process.
This person’s input is what shapes and navigates the
product to a particular standard. They control a film's
artistic and dramatic aspects, while guiding the
technical crew and actors.
• Their role is on-going, throughout the pre-production,
post-production and during the film-making process, as
they are required to constantly give their input.

3. The Cameraperson
• The cameraman is responsible for physically
operating the camera and maintaining
composition and camera angles throughout a
given scene or shot. In narrative filmmaking, the
camera operator will collaborate with the
director, director of photography, actors and crew
to make technical and creative decisions.
• The cameraperson usually is used throughout the
production of the product, as they capture the
director’s vision of what the film should be like.

4. The Editor
• This person is vital to the outcome of the
product. Once the footage has been filmed, it is
entirely in this person’s hands to manipulate the
footage to produce a continuous, and accurate
interpretation of the director’s intention. The
Editor is responsible for aligning and combining
the shots and footage, mixing and matching to
create a coherent and entertaining film. The film
editor works with the raw footage, selecting
shots and combining them into sequences to
create a finished motion picture. Film editing is
part of the post-production of the process.

5. Sound Managers
• These people are responsible for the audio of the
film. They are in charge of sound effects,
background music, and any audio that has been
added to enhance the product. This includes
songs, diagetic/non-diagetic sounds,
synchronous/asynchronous sounds, and general
background noise.
• These people also play a huge part in the
production as they add a different layer to the
compilation of shots, to make the sequence flow
together and make it an enjoyable and seamless
video.

6. Who is who?
• Director: Jaspreet Hanspal
• Why?: Experienced with doing
Drama at A-Level, therefore able to
direct actors to get a good quality of
role play. Also organised and
decisive, able to make decisions
quickly. Also does English Literature
A-Level, so is able to produce a well
written script, with a creative and
innovative idea that is original for
the production company, and vocal,
so is able to voice ideas effectively
and therefore makes a good team
leader.

7. Who is who?
• Cameraperson: Sharna Mandil
• Why?: Able to use the camera
effectively, with experience in
Media A-Level and a general
interest in photography and
cinematography. Confident and a
good listener, able to follow
director’s instructions well, and
also puts in her own input when
needed which is helpful.

8. Who is who?
• Editor: Ahmed Khan
• Why?: Experienced and very
talented at editing, does it for a
hobby. Very good at making
precise decisions that usually have
a considerable effect, especially
with choice of shots for editing.
Reliable and a relatively quick
worker, confident in the job
allocated because he has a-lot of
experience and is liable to deliver
a great finished product.

• Why?: Director and

unison will allow for the
sound department of
the production to be
immaculate in terms of
them being able to
consolidate with one
another and decide
which sounds are best
suited to the film.
