    My goal is to show how our smart managed print services is designed specifically for healthcare and can help solve problems that impact your business at both strategic and operational levels.

    Once Optimized, then we manage the environment on a proactive and a predictive basis. This is based on our technology innovations.
    1.We have invested hundreds of millions of dollars in a single global system that allows us to proactively manage your environment anywhere in the world.
    2.Because we are managing it, this allows your clinicians to focus on your patients.
    3.Because our system collects data on over a million assets globally organized by industry, not only do we manage your environment, we continuously improve it based “best practices” and our customer focused governance process.

  • Done right, optimizing a printer fleet goes well beyond looking at the floor plan and establishing a user to device ratio. It requires insight and the ability to take action. At Lexmark, we are able to do this because:
     
    We know that “one size doesn’t fit all” and we will create specific designs to accommodate your hospitals, clinics and administrative offices. We’ll dive in deep with you to understand and benchmark the specifics of your environment and compare them to data gathered from hundreds of engagements with healthcare systems very similar to yours. Our engagements go well beyond the surface and include personal interactions to ensure we’re getting it right for YOU across your enterprise.
     
    Through our technology-driven assessment process we can tap into a robust data set from over 6,000 assessments in real time, while on-site conducting the assessment. This allows us to act with speed and accuracy in developing your plan. We categorize this data by industry to make sure we understand what “best in class” looks like for your industry in your environment. In our designs we take advantage of our Smart A4 MFPs which serve as the digital on and off ramp and enable workflow and business process transformation.

  • Now, in addition to device-level visibility, many customers are interested in having security and visibility at the end-user level. One way customers do this is through secure print release.
     
    Most MPS customers are taking advantage of this technology to provide redundancy and flexibility, and to reduce print volumes. Studies tell us that 1 in 6 pages that are printed are discarded. So, secure print release provides the benefit of reducing discarded pages. In addition, this technology allows us to look at individual user print behavior to further pinpoint opportunities for print reduction and streamlining business processes.
     
    Secondly, through Lexmark’s technology innovation we have created a platform that can be used not only to release jobs securely, but can also enable mobile print across your enterprise for you and your customers. You can print directly to your central print release queue from your iOS or Android device or even by simply forwarding an email.

    Mobile technology is transforming the way many industries and customers operate.

    Finally, we have expanded this platform to help customers reduce the number of print servers they have and need through serverless print technology. With this solution, print jobs remain securely on the user’s PC until they choose to release the job at the device.

    It’s easy—hit print from anywhere on any device and then release the job at any printer by simply authenticating with your badge.
    It’s secure—no uncollected pages lying around.
    It’s green—it saves pages, because many jobs that are printed are not needed. 
  • We handle this better than anyone because of a single global system. This is another way we use technology to innovate for our customers. No meter reads, no swivel chair, no disconnect between regions or countries—a single platform that provides complete visibility and control and informs actions to be taken across your enterprise.
     
    Our tools allow you to see how many devices that you have, how many pages your print, and how much you actually spend on output. And this is not just in one location because Enterprises typically have printing and scanning devices spread out across buildings, cities, countries and continents. When you have a widely distributed workforce and disconnected fleets of devices, it’s virtually impossible to see, control – and improve -- your global output infrastructure.

    This means we can give you a single view of all of your print related devices (including all service requests, toner orders, and print volumes associated with each device) anywhere they are in the world ensuring you have total visibility and control which results in maximum savings to you and minimal disruptions for your employees.
    In fact, we typically capture twice the industry average of data. We, in turn, use this information to proactively manage your fleet and provide you insight to the utilization and performance of your fleet around the world.

    We are going to take the data provide more information through analytics. Analytics allows us to do three things:
    1. Through predictive analytics we can anticipate service actions before they happen by looking for trends in print volume, help desk calls, rates of intervention or capturing additional sensor data from your devices.
    2. Analytics allows us to optimize your fleet on an ongoing basis after implementation. Identifying where devices are over or under utilized so we can help you maximize the return on your MPS investment
    3. And most importantly analytics can help us uncover opportunities in your environment for the introduction of workflow solutions to streamline your business.

    The benefit of analytics to you is that you will see even more proactive service so we take action before you ever see a problem. In addition, analytics will help us optimize service visits by correcting problems that are known, but looking at devices that may be trending the wrong direction based on additional information they provide, such as a motor slowing down or a fuser running hot.
    This means fewer interruptions for your end users and increased uptime and availability.
