A National Level undergraduate engineering student competition organized by the
Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), INDIA that simulates real-world engineering design
projects and their related challenges.
Design, fabricate and validate a single seated four - wheeled off road vehicle that will
survive the severe punishment of rough terrain.

(hereinafter called ‘THE FIRST PARTY’) and
FEI Cargo Limited (hereinafter called ‘THE SECOND PARTY’)
The BAJA SAE Series® is an event for the undergraduate engineering students,
organized globally by the Society of Automotive Engineers, USA. The event originated in the
name of Mini - BAJA, in the year 1976 at University of Carolina. Since then, the event has
spanned across six countries – USA, Mexico, South Africa, Korea, Brazil and India.
The BAJA SAE tasks the students to design, fabricate and validate a single seated
four - wheeled off road vehicle to take part in series of events spread over a course of 3
days that test the vehicle for the sound engineering practices that have gone into it, the

2. agility of the vehicle in terms of gradability, speed, braking, acceleration, hill climb,
manoeuvrability characteristics and finally its ability to endure that back breaking durability
test - the endurance race.
The parties have had preliminary discussions in this matter and have ascertained areas of
broad consensus. The parties now, have therefore, agreed to enter in writing these areas of
consensus, under a Memorandum of Understanding.
Now this Memorandum of Understanding witnesses that:
Deliverables by THE SECOND PARTY –
 Sponsorship of Rs. 2,50,000/- only
 Permission to use Logo of FEI Cargo Limited for Promotional Events
Deliverables by THE FIRST PARTY –
 Attachment with team logo everywhere
 Prominently placed logo on vehicle
 Prominently placed logo on team apparel
 Logo on team posters
 Logo on driver suit (on chest) and helmet
 Recognition during media coverage Print Media (Newspaper, Automotive
Magazines)
 Fortnightly update on the project
 Baja Project Magazine advertisement and copy
 Video Presentation
 Promotion during annual college fest
 Banners on pits and workshop
 Coverage in the annual magazine of the College
 Availability of vehicle and team representative for promotional event like road
shows, auto expo etc. for session ‘13-‘14
Miscellaneous –
 In case of any discrepancies on any matter between both the parties, a
mutual discussion should be help to solve the issue keeping in mind the
educational objective of both the parties.

3.  Publicity material and other formalities should be first sanctioned and
verified with the management team of the event before implanting it. The
management team has the right to finalize any decision or make
amendments to some rules mentioned here above for the benefit of
students.
All the terms and conditions of this MOU are subject to the approval of the various bodies of
THE FIRST PARTY and the provisions of the Rules and Regulations of the Institution.
In witness whereof the parties have signed this Memorandum of Understanding of the day,
month and year first hereinabove written.
