2. Audience
Our target age group is 18-45
Due to it being a romantic thriller, the actual film will involve many sexual
scenes and strong language
The targeted age of our film will be women. Women are known to love erotic
films e.g. Fifty Shades of Grey. This genre of films and books has become more
popular in the past couple of years.
Films like this are so successful as women aspire to be in weird and sexually
experimenting relationships. Older women are more likely to be interested in
this genre as their sex and love life may not be exhilarating.

7. BBFC Rating
We have decided our film is rated 15.
On the BBFC website, the 15 age rating is enforced if any of the following are in the film:
strong violence
frequent strong language (e.g. 'f***').
portrayals of sexual activity
strong verbal references to sex
sexual nudity
brief scenes of sexual violence or verbal references to sexual violence
discriminatory language or behaviour
drug taking
The ones highlighted may come up in our thriller opening.
8. BBFC Rating
Our audience will begin at aged 15 (Year 10)
Although this limits our audience, any lower age rating will be inappropriate
On the BBFC website, it says “sexual activity can be portrayed” “Some sex scenes can be quite long
at this category.” “There can be strong references to sex and sexual behaviour”
Our film will be mainly aimed at young adults and older so hopefully the age rating will not allow us
to lose out on viewers
