Self-Coaching Employees are ultimately responsible for themselves Assess your own shortcomings and strengths Sometimes coaches are unavailable “The only thing harder than change is wanting to change but not knowing how to proceed. Self-coaching offers a structure to guide you through personal and career growth.” (Sullivan)
  • 12. Three-Step Coaching Process Preparation Employee’s job performance – accomplishments, performance goals, action tasks, etc. Discussion Meet with employee, give feedback, tackle problems Follow-up Schedule follow-up meetings with employee, gathering feedback, improving coaching style
