ORLANDO,F.L.— It’s not the beach,but it’s
still Spring Break! My son Rhett’s Emory Eagles
baseball team isn’t partying in Ft.Lauderdale,
instead they’re competing in the UAATournament
at the historic Sanford Stadium.
Their season began with 3 wins and one loss in
Austin,Texas.I hearAustin is a really cool city but
we watched 4 games in two days,so there was no
time for sight-seeing.We did get to visit with my
husband,Bill’s cousins,Megan and Erin,but only
because they joined us for the last game.
Valentine’s Day we hopped a plane fromAustin to
St.Louis for a quick visit in Columbia with Bill’s
sonTrek and his family.We only see them a couple
times a year,so it was a real treat to roll around
on the floor and play hide-and-seek with Bill’s
grandkids,Finn and Ivy.On our way back to DC
we stopped inAtlanta to catch 4 home games at
Emory.They lost onTuesday but swept the three
game series on Friday and Saturday.Our dear
friend,Fred,joined us on Saturday.
Back to real estate...The week before we head to
Orlando is typically crazy and this year was no
different.On Sunday,my clients bought a property
that had just hit the market.I had several property
showings on Monday,got together with one of my
sellers and her interior designer,and met with home
owners whose house in Cleveland Park had failed to
sell while listed with another agent.
Tuesday night I met with the couple who’d bought
on Sunday about selling their property in Cleveland
Park.I had lunch with a friend onWednesday,
then got together with her later to discuss seeking
a property for her.After lunch,I met with a new
buyer on and looked at her house in Forest Hills
that she may sell.ThenThursday I showed her
some properties.Later,I showed houses to another
new buyer and that night listed a home at the
Cleveland Park Metro.
I showed one of my listings in Cleveland Park
Friday morning and listed my friend’s property in
the afternoon.That evening I showed a house to
another new buyer referred to me.Afterwards,it
was back to the office to meet with a family about
representing them in their home purchase.I forgot
to mention that I squeezed in a haircut.I still
haven’t packed and our flight takes off at 10:00AM
Saturday.
We can’t wait to see Rhett and root for the Eagles to
continue extend their 7 game winning streak.There
will be about 100 family members (mothers,fathers,
brothers,sisters and a handful of grandparents)
from all over the country joining the players.We’ve
made some marvelous friends and it will be a
blast to see them.By the way,my advertising and
branding agency is in nearbyWinter Park,so Bill
and I will be there Monday morning.

was so positive, I’ve decided to write a book to
provide savvy home sellers a proven step-by-step
guide to getting top dollar fast!
Since this may take me a while to complete, I’ve

Home Sellers...
Marjorie represented us in not
only purchasing the new home,
but also for the selling of our
current home. I greatly enjoyed
working with her during that
period of time as well, helping
with the staging and being very
straightforward throughout.
She was direct with us as to what
she thought we needed to do in
order to improve the visual appeal of the home and
what we might get for it, but even while being direct,
she was respectful, nice and easy to get along with.
Most importantly, we did not debate with
