2. Bauer Media
• I had a look at some magazine publishers that were linked
with big named magazines like Q, NME, Uncut etc.
• One company I found was Bauer Media. Although they don’t
currently have any magazines of my genre
(Dance/Electropop), they could benefit from my
magazine, as I think that this genre of music is becoming
more popular with a lot of people, so they would
probably be quite interested in my magazine. It would
also help to give them a bit of variety, as most of their
music magazines are rock music.
• They are a large company, and they have big brands, which
would mean my magazine would get more attention than
it would being with a smaller niche publisher

3. Online Distribution
• As people are starting to use the internet for a lot more
things so I think distributing my magazine online would be
a good way to interest people, especially as my magazine
is aimed at young people, because they tend to use the
internet a lot more.
• Also it would be more accessible for everyone, as you
wouldn’t have to leave your home to view the
magazine, so you would still be able to see the magazine
if you didn’t live near shops or couldn’t get to them.
• I had a look at some online music magazines, and I came
across Spin Magazine, they do an online version of their
magazine, and people can download a digital copy as
well as a paper copy.
If I were to have my magazine online, then this would be
the competition, but as my magazine is a dance magazine it
would not be overshadowed by Spin Magazine.

4. Other
There are other ways I
could distribute my
magazine, one way
would be to sell copies
of my magazine at
clubs, and at
Dance/Electropop
music events. This
would be a good way
to sell, as it would be
going to the people
who would most likely
buy it, as they are my
target audience.
