Why is Marketing your Business important?

Communication is one of the most important parts of running a business.
Many small to medium sized businesses are excellent at what they do –
The best IT firm
Excellent Builder or Plumber
However they are not managing their communication or not communicating
at all.
If no one knows you’re there, then it doesn’t matter how good you are!
You wont have a business!
What is marketing?

Marketing is the activity, set of institutions,
and processes for creating, communicating, delivering,
and exchanging offerings that have value for customers,
clients, partners, and society at large.
How do potential customers find out about you?

•Your appearance – brand. First impressions count. How you are perceived
shapes how your business relationship develops.
•How you interact with your customers, there are several vehicles
•Website – 24/7 shop window.
•Newsletters/email marketing – updates and reminders to your customer
of what products and services you offer.
•Advertising and PR – Memory joggers and information in press and on the
Internet.
•Telemarketing – either opening doors or building relationships for your sales
Team.
•Brochures, leaflets and hand outs – printed marketing collateral is crucial to
