1. Evaluation Unit 64 (Motion Graphics)
HA1
This unit began with task 1 - finding definitions of all the different types of motion graphics. I
thought this was a relatively easy task. On tasks 2 and 3 I had to explain what each of them was and
give examples to show I understood them.
HA2
Task 1 – Adobe Illustrator Exercises
On this task I had to fill in the photo of four sportsmen using illustrator. This was to teach us basic
illustrating skills. I found this task quite difficult at first as I’d never used Adobe Illustrator before. We
were then asked to use illustrator to create a basic logo.
Task 2 – Ideas generation
For task 2 I created an Ideas generation map; this was basically drawing out different shapes and
ideas for our logo.
Task 3
Task 3 was our client briefing. We had the sports company for the college come to our class and ask
us to produce a logo for the sports academy. In the client briefing we had to make notes on what
type of logo the clients wanted. They told us they wanted a logo that has the words “sports
Academy” and appealed to all sports. They told us they didn’t want any pictures of specific sports
and wanted a logo that suited all sport categories.
Task 4 – Mood Boards
On this task we had to make mood board to get ideas of what other logos are like. This was in hope
of inspiring our final logo.
2. Task 5 – Symbol and Fonts Experiment
This task was useful for trying out different symbols and fonts to see which ones we would like to
use on our final logo.
Task 6 – Final Logo Design
This task is self-explanatory
Task 7 – Adobe After Effects Exercise
The adobe after effects excercises were moving grahics. We had to listen to a tutorial to do the
psyche smoke.
Task 8 – Story Board Treatment
We had to create a story board for our moving animation logo for the sports academy.
