The CMS market is exploding and open source is the catalyst. Especially open source content management projects like Joomla! Drupal, Wordpress are getting more attention as well seeing rapid growth. These big three together are estimated to count for over 5% of the total sites on the internet. All three have one thing in common : they are driven by the PHP programming language. In this talk I took a look at why PHP is becoming the language of the internet. Taking a closer look at it's growth and move into the enterprise driven by large and innovative open source communities like Joomla, Drupal and Wordpress.
