The Shogun RAM 3500 delivers a powerful and
adaptive Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) solution
surpassing current SPVs in performance, payload,
cabin space and safety.
The Shogun RAM 3500 is the only safe option to achieve
tough missions confidently with required levels of
aggression.
The Shogun RAM 3500 provides significantly more cabin
space room to support a team of fully kitted operators.
Individuals can easily and rapidly get in and out of the SPV
and carry more equipment than they have ever done
before. Moreover, they can have a SPV that is powerful,
has the grunt to hit curbs at speed, push through light
obstacles and is able to carry a heavy load at speed, on
slopes and around corners, without affecting the safety of
the vehicle or its occupants.
The Shogun RAM power to weight ratio is 25% better than
the current SPV. The powerful 6.7 litre Cummins 287 kW
turbo-diesel engine and the reliable Aisin transmission
drive train provides 1173 Nm of grunt and torque that
make it a beast on and off the road.
With a range of over 700km the Shogun RAM is ideally
suited to Australian distances.
Combined with its power, speed, outstanding handling
and braking, it will always get teams to the target site
quickly, safely and with more gear; all this while
operating confidently within the natural design capacity
of a high performance vehicle.

SHOGUN RAM 3500
The Shogun Ram 3500 Payload Module is purpose-built for
flexibility of configuration and accessibility of key
operational and administrative stores. The payload
capacity is more than double that of the current SPV. The
increased payload capacity allows for larger quantity and
a wider range of tactical equipment to be carried. Ladders
and other tactical gear can be accessed from convenient
and highly tailorable stowage compartments on both the
inside and the outside of the vehicle.
The vehicle meets Defence air transportability
requirements and is easily loaded with full payload and
operational fuel.
The Shogun Ram 3500 comes with an exceptional power
supply with the capacity to power all current and future
systems. The array of lights around the vehicle provides
increased tactical visibility. The 12 and 24 volt power
supplies, with an external charging system, will keep all
team military and civilian equipment powered and
charged.
The Shogun Ram 3500 has been mechanically designed
with an easy-to-access chassis, engine, cables, electronics
and bar work. Options include armour for crew protection,
drawer for ready access, performance monitoring for
reliability, and run-flat wheel insert for guaranteed
mobility.
With around 1000 RAMs on Australian roads according to
Shogun, spare parts are easily procured from a number of
strategically located dealers across Australia and around
the world. A comprehensive regional maintenance and
support infrastructure is also provided by RGM
Maintenance, one of the leading Defence vehicle
maintenance companies. Lastly, the C4I solution is
provided by Elbit Systems of Australia, the Army’s proven
and trusted C4I design, integration and installation
partner across thousands of Army vehicle’s.
