John: want to welcome you to this year’s US West Coast MoodleMoot in lovely Sonoma County.Remember start of this conference at last year’s Sloan/MERLOT conference, when Martin Knott slipped a clandestine postcard to Kathy Fernandes and I with a “save the date” posted ... And now the event is here!
  2. Interesting trend in LMS decisions at CSU over timeIn 2009, all WebCt/Bboard, and a few MoodleExpanding share of Moodle, to 2012 – where we currently have more campuses committed to Moodle than WebCt/Bboard – with 2 undecided.
  3. Not just small campuses using Moodle anymore. FTE allocations are proportional to campuses choosing Moodle
  4. Looking at the trend over time, the pattern in clear: Moodle is growing in popularity and adoption across our system.If you’re interested in what we are doing as a system to coordinate efforts, can attend our session tomorrow afternoon
  5. Strong and interesting program for you – thanks to the hard work of your program committee in recruiting and reviewing proposals. Could each of you stand when I read your name?
