It is my pleasure to recommend Jon DØVLE, his performance working for Dolphin Geophysical proved
demonstrated his value as an employee to any employer.
Jon was employed by Dolphin Geophysical for 2,5 years in the position of Mechanic/Seismic Workboat
Cox working on-board Dolphin offshore Marine Seismic Vessels.
Jon diligently performed job tasks assigned to him as part of his job description offshore, and to the
company`s QHSE-standards to our full satisfaction.
His job of Mechanic/Seismic Workboat Cox carries the following responsibilities;
1. Mechanical key responsibilities according to operator mechanical job description
2. Act as the primary workboat/FRC Cox for seismic activities, and in emergency situations as instructed by
the vessel Captain
3. Implementation of Company fleet workboat standards for seismic in-sea maintenance work.
4. Implementation of company small boat in-sea maintenance activities, at individual worksite.
5. Ensure the safe and efficient daily operation of the seismic workboat.
6. Ensure compliance with Dolphin Workboat Maintenance Schedules
7. Ensure compliance with company small boat mission log for each planned launch, including PTW (seismic
and vessel owner procedures)
8. Manage onboard resources, material and human, to maximise efficiency and to build safe and efficient
"small boat teams" onboard company vessels.
9. Ensure onboard training of crew in small boat activities, including back up cox. Perform evaluations of
small boat crew members, providing feedback to Party Manager, Crewing and Operations Department
with regard to suggested technical and QHSE training courses and candidates
10. Ensure company and site specific small boat procedures are subject to regular review
Unfortunately due to a current downturn in the offshore exploration and production industry, and
fleet downsizing, Dolphin have made a number of employees redundant whilst adjusting to new
levels of demand for our services.
