2. Importance of these technologies All of these technologies (on different formats) played some part in the making of our video. Using something as simple as a mobile phone, we were able to arrange a time to film when we were all available and likewise with Facebook, we could contact Nathan, our actor, very easily. Adobe Photoshop allowed us to create a very effective digipak and magazine advert, Adobe Premier Pro enabled us to string together lots of shots and edit some- ending with a successful music video. Generally, Adobe played a big part in the making of our video. Our mobile phones were used frequently throughout this process. Not only did we use them to communicate (via call, text) but the mp3 of the song on Steph’s mobile helped Nathan a lot with the lip syncing process. The SLR and video cameras were undoubtedly essential- using the memory card, we were able to record all of our work and upload it onto the hard drive at college. The HD factor gave the video a very professional look, however we mixed it together with an ordinary camera- next time we would make sure the quality is 100% HD. Online websites YouTube, Blogger and Facebook were all important also. Our blogs allow us to store an account of all that we have done, YouTube was the video site we were able to upload our video onto, allowing our audience to view the product. Facebook allowed us to communicate with Nathan, and this offered another platform on which to upload our product- it was a way to gather feedback afterwards as well.
