Upcoming events...
Happy new year. Welcome back we
hope you are all well rested and ready to
put in a lot of hard work in the new year.
This term there are a lots of events to
look forward to. Firstly there will be
opportunities to help out in the local
community by contributing in chairty
events and the year 9’s will be visiting
elderly homes to help break the barrier
between the young and old.
Students taking early GCSE’s mustmake
sureto revise for spring exams and 6th
formwill be having important mocks
before easter so need to attend all after
schoolclasses set by individual teachers.
There will be a quiz going round tutors
sent by the library for students to fill out,
winners will be able to attend a theatre
performanceduring halfterm.
Whats new?
6th formers willnow be able to play table tennis in their free time at break and lunch. There
are also now certain zones for quiet study areas and group study areas which are labled around
the lerner block. Food and drink (apartfrom water) are not allowed to be eaten in classrooms
and only in allocated spaces dueto too much litter being left around all buildings. There is now
a film night after schoolon Fridays for years 7 , 8 and 9.
There is a dance and drama performancein the spaceafter school on the 5th
of february where
students fromall years can enter and buy tickets to watch
