 Initiate audits to ensure GE approved suppliers and sub-suppliers responsible for the manufacturing,
assembling, testing or servicing GE products for Vetco, Hydril and Subsea Controls of Nailsea Australia were
compliant to all contractual and product specific requirements.
 Provided project oversite acting as the mediator between suppliers and lead quality engineers for new
supplier qualifications.
 From June 2015 through January 2016 Juan primarily provided auditing services for GE supplier quality
division. During his time as an auditor Juan successfully completed the Legacy Supplier project which consisted
of auditing and closing out corrective actions for suppliers’ 50+ suppliers in 6 months' time. The audit scope
ranged from auditing quality management systems to processes used during product realization.
 From Sept. 2014 through June 2015 Juan served as a supplier quality inspector providing witnessing and
oversite for GE products manufactured, assembled and /or tested at supplier & sub-supplier facilities,
ensuring all products and documents met the traceability, MPP, EPS, PO and specification requirements.
During this time, Juan also provided oversite for 2 suppliers attempting to qualify as GE turnkey suppliers for
BOP refurbishment.
Wood Group Kenny Houston, Texas
Subsea Inspection Controller January 2014 – August 2014
 Provided subsea asset inspection support for Wood Group Kenny's integrity management team as a
competent 3.4.U Inspection Controller.
 During his Sun Core energy campaign, Juan and his team successfully inspected all Sun Core Energy assets in
the Hibernia oil field in a record time with lead time weeks ahead of schedule. These efforts significantly
improved business relations of a once timorous relationship between both companies.
 Awarded letter of recognition from management for his efforts and support given during his contract with
Wood Group Kenny.
TMK Ipsco Houston, Texas
NDT Coordinator January 2013 – February 2014
 Played a key role as the NDT coordinator for TMKs main North American site (Baytown facility).
 Initially during the first 5 months of his employment, he was the acting project manager for the development
and establishment of 2 NDT departments at the Baytown processing facility fully capable of inspecting API
tubular/OCTG products while meeting industry standards. This accomplishment was done under time and
cost allocated for the project which ranged from the development of quality documents, hiring inspectors,
training, procuring equipment, development of equipment PM schedule, inventory stock controls, pipe
standard creation, document and records control, the creation of trackers for method hrs. and training matrix
as well department oversite for over 20 inspectors.
 Successfully led the development of the NDT departments which he later managed to increase the
productivity of the inspection lines by 45% by reducing the level of inspection system-generated false
indications by 60% through system maintenance, product-personnel-equipment cycle time/performance
studies. These studies also proved key to reducing rejected materials from 3.4 to .875% of 1000 pipes
inspected.

 Reduced the cost of critical spares by qualifying local machine shops and other specialty businesses to re-
engineer EMI and UT system parts with savings over 100k on critical spares alone.
 Was recertified to TMK internal procedures compliant with (ASNT) SNT-TC-1A recommended practices for UT
II, MT-II & EMI and awarded letter of reference from management for accomplishments at TMK.
 During his last months as the NDT coordinator now assisting the recently hired corporate level III -NDT
manager- for all north America facilities, TMK Baytown received re-certification from the registrar for API Q1
and inspection departments given recognition for zero findings during the audit.

QA Supervisor / NDT Supervisor February 2012 – January 2013
 Developed management skills and industry knowledge of OCTG products.
 During his time as acting NDT/QA supervisor without direct facility oversight he reduced product rejection rates
of the ERW casing product line from 4% to 1% through the continual improvement of process controls,
personnel competency assessment, and training.
 A significant achievement he was responsible for was to increase the weld line inspection departments
production capacity of the ERW product line by 200% allowing Tejas to independently inspect ERW pipe without
3rd party inspection companies which resulted in savings of nearly $1 million dollars that year.
 Considered to be his most significant achievement at Tejas Juan was to drastically improve the working
environment and conditions for every inspector under his supervision.
 Responsible for the improvements made to the inspection departments and inspection equipment through
successful negotiations with corporate management. Improvements included the implementation of a variety
of continuous training, new safety protocols, addition of daily meetings a.k.a tool box talks, suggestion boxes to
allow inspectors to voice complaints in anonymous fashion, waste reduction initiatives, 7-10% increased wages,
addition of monthly incentive bonuses plus additional 30-minute break time during 12 hour scheduled work day
and other misc. improvements.
 Received cross departmental recognition for performance that workers from all other departments sought
becoming an NDT inspector under Juan's supervision
 Juan was re-certified to Tejas internal procedures compliant with (ASNT) SNT-TC-1A recommended practices for
UT-II, MT-II & EMI techniques. Additionally, he would be awarded letter of recognition from management for
his accomplishments at Tejas Tubular prior to his departure from Tejas to seek greater challenges and further
his experience and industry knowledge.

Quality Assurance Technician August 2010 – January 2012
 Lead quality assurance/control technician for Halliburton sand screens division.
 Developed his quality assurance knowledge and enhanced inspection capabilities.
 Helped to curve the product rejection rates and the increasingly growing numbers of NCRs being recorded
which was achieved through internal auditing including process witnessing, personnel competency
assessments verifying procedural knowledge, indoctrination of personnel to procedures and the development
or enhancement of in-process and final inspection procedures and documentation.
 Played a key role in the significant reduction and prevention of product rejections and NCRs.
 He was presented with congratulatory letter of recommendation from management as recognition for efforts

 Capitalizing on the NDT training and certification he received from the Ocean Corporation in 2003, Juan
developed his skills in various techniques with-in ultrasonic and magnetic particle testing methods.
 Traveled all over North America to numerous wind turbine sites a.k.a wind farms conducting these
examinations with-in the nacelle on the base plate and other critical structural welds within the tower.
 Implement inspections of the blades checking for lamination and structural integrity.
