Digital citizenship has several key components: digital access, ensuring all people can access technology without restrictions; digital communication, using the internet to connect with others worldwide; digital commerce, using the internet to advertise and sell products; digital literacy, incorporating new technologies into education; digital security, protecting personal information from hacking; digital law, enforcing laws against online crimes like bullying; digital rights, the basic rights of technology users that also require responsibility; digital etiquette, using polite manners online as in public; and digital health/wellness, being aware of how internet use can impact physical and mental well-being.

Communication is what connects us.
7. Digital Commerce
- Other online items such as online gambling,
porn and illegally downloading music also fall
under the digital commerce element.

your accounts and protecting all information
from any outside source.
12. Digital Law
- Enforcing the fact that stealing peoples
information, bullying and harassment over
the internet are all still real crimes that need
to be taken very seriously.
13. Digital Law

- With rights come responsibilities, and in
order to take advantage of the many rights
you have been granted you must act
accordingly and responsible whilst you are
online.
17. Digital Etiquette
- The polite proper behaviours you possess
in public should be the same online, just
because someone is not standing directly in
front of you does not mean they are not
there.
19. Digital Health/ Wellness
- Internet addiction is a serious problem that
some people suffer with. Spending too much
time on the computer can cause posture
issues, and even damage your eyesight. You
need to be aware of how much you are really
online.
