Mr. Mirchandani runs the Internet Applications Technical
Group at KBACE in Nashua, NH which specializes in the
design and implementation of web-based Oracle software
solutions. These modules most notably include Learning
Management, iRecruitment, Self Service HR, and
Performance Management. Mr. Mirchandani brings nine
years of implementation experience with HRMS

4. Outlook Calendar Integration
• Issue:
• Oracle does not provide calendar entry when Learners enroll in
Classes
• Solution:
• Add the Outlook Calendar entry to the seeded Enrollment
Notification sent to Learner upon enrollment
• Standard ics/vcs file is added as attachment

5. Viewing Enrollment Count
• Issue:
• Administrator cannot view the Enrollment Count for a Class in OLM
• Solution:
• Add Total Enrolled, Total Open, and Max Enrollment columns to
Manage Classes page and Add Enrollments page

6. Automatic Enrollment
• Issues:
• OLM does not provide Automatic Enrollments in 11i
• Solution:
• Identify the Automatic Enrollment based on DFF
• Create concurrent request to automatically enroll Learner based on
the Learner’s Access

7. Class Creation Notification
• Issue:
• Inform Learner who is subscribed to Learning Path (LP) or Learning
Certification (LC) of new Class for a Course in their LP or LC
• Solution:
• Create a concurrent program that runs nightly to pick up the new
class created
• Send notification to the Learner if the course exists in the Learner’s
LP or LC

8. Certification Fix
• Issue:
• OLM updates the Certification’s Completion Date as the date on
which the Admin changes the status of the Enrollment to Attended
• The Certification Completion Date should be the Class End Date
• Solution:
• Create a concurrent program that:
• Identifies these anomalies
• Updates the Completion Date of the Certification
• Updates the certification periods accordingly

9. Notification to Manager
• Issue:
• Learner’s Manager is not notified when employee enrolls in a Class
• Solution:
• Modify the workflow to add the Manager notification

10. OLM Learner Access Update
• Issue:
• Organizations want to determine the learning population for
courses based on parameters other than HR Organization, Position,
and Job.
• Solution:
• Create a process that updates the Learner access based on other
criteria such as Location and Age of Learner.

11. Automatic Enrollment upon Subscription
• Issue:
• Learners need to go through many clicks to enroll in available
classes for a course after subscribing to a Learning Certification or
Learning Path.
• Solution:
• Write a user hook to enroll the Learner in the available Online
Asynchronous class.
