September 2012

Editor’s note

So, summer is officially over. I had such high hopes for it; dreams of days of endless
sunshine and running barefoot through a field of daisies...
Ok, realistically (even if the weather had been nice), the daisy field
thing is actually, being a hay fever sufferer, not the most sensible way
I could spend my time. However, there have definitely been a few
things this summer that have kept my spirits up and they all came to
a head on 1 September at the Annual Kleeneze Showcase.
There’s nothing better to counteract the nights drawing in than
knowing that in 14 months time you could be lying on a sun-soaked
beach in Dubai or paddling in the Indian Ocean.
In fact, if you’ve lost sight as to why this time of year is better for you
than the average work-for-other-people folk, let me remind you what life can be like without Kleeneze:
1. The kids are back at school. Mornings involving yanking screaming children from their beds, plaiting their
hair with one hand while brushing their teeth with the other to culminate with you arriving at work late
with cornflakes down your shirt because you had to eat breakfast in the car in order to get them to school
on time?
So the screaming (theirs and yours) and the plaiting and brushing may still remain, but at least, being your
own boss, you can eat your breakfast at leisure. Little things...
2. The kids are back at school. Oh yes, this deserves to be point number 2 as well, because children being
back at school only means commuting is a rollercoaster of emotion and hand gestures. Avoiding the
roads only means you’ll have to remortgage your home in order to buy a travel pass for the year too.
3. Your holidays are a distant memory. In a way, they made things even worse, because for those 10 days to
2 weeks you remembered all the good things about life – being outside all day long, playing with the kids,
really truly relaxing. Now it’s back to the 9-5 grind, followed by evenings of mind-numbing telly. Sigh...
4. Christmas-induced debt panic. The shops are already stocking up on mince pies and you’re still paying off
your credit card from last year and looking for a big pile of sand in which to bury your head.
5. Your only goal is to get through another week and hope that the weekend goes as slow as possible to
prevent the onset of yet another week of thankless, unrewarding work.
Luckily, for the most of you, these points are merely a distant memory, but even if they are still very fresh in
your mind, you now know that Kleeneze offers the financial freedom, time flexibility and, most importantly the
chance to take control of your life.
We want to know why Kleeneze works for you. On pages 12 and 13, you’ll find some of the reasons
Distributors have found that this business works for them, and every week in the weekly newsletter, EWB,
you’ll find a Distributor testimonial to hopefully inspire you. If you’d like to see your story featured, email us at
teamtalk@kleeneze.co.uk using the subject title ’Kleeneze Works’.

The wheels are in
motion for our
Kleeneze business
In February 2005, the stress of Shelagh Irving’s job had left her an impossible situation.
Faced with a choice between losing her sanity and losing her wage, she chose to leave work and
become a Kleeneze Distributor. Seven years later, her lifestyle has never been better and now Shelagh
and husband John, are our latest Mini First winners to boot!
“I used to work for a high street bank,” explains Shelagh.
“I was a cashier there and targets were set all the time,
but it’s not like Kleeneze where you choose to achieve a
target, it was very, very pressurised. Around the same
time, I found out I was diabetic and we had a problem
with one of the children and school, so along with the
stress of the job, I broke down.”

“It was really hard for me, so having the support of the
team was great. It was like having extended family. I got
£300 worth of orders on that first drop. ”

“I stayed off for three months and when I went back it
was a phased return basis – meant to be very flexible,
however, one week when I asked that my hours remained
the same for an extra week as I was getting very tired, I
was told no. I ended up having to take another three
months off and when I tried to return, after a couple of
weeks, they said they were going to move me to another
branch. It’s just not what you want – I needed familiarity
right then. I just left, thinking it’s not worth my sanity.”

“Shelagh had only been doing Kleeneze for a couple of
months when I was made redundant,” remembers John.
“I was working for a company repairing caravans, making
a really good wage up until then. After I was made
redundant, I started work with another company, but it
was minimum wage and a huge drop. We simply couldn’t
live on it. I worked two and three jobs over the course of
that year, until I went to a company Showcase. After that,
I knew that’s what I needed to do, so I joined Shelagh on
the Distributorship.”

Although Shelagh hadn’t been looking for a job, the couple
did need some extra cash. However, then there came
another bombshell – John had been made redundant.

A couple of months later, Shelagh received a flyer through
her door with a web address on it. Curiosity got the better
of her and she found herself filling in her details.

Until that point, John had been working around 60 to 70
hours a week, so Kleeneze offered not only a way to help
out financially, but a complete change from the live to
work lifestyle they’d been living before.

“I was a bit dubious about it all, never having heard of
Kleeneze before, but I went ahead with it and Andrew and
Melanie Wilson sent me an information pack with a video.
I sat and watched it with my daughter. She was saying:
’go on, you can do that – I’ll help you with it.’ My
confidence was at an all-time low then and I only agreed
because I didn’t think I’d have to meet anyone face-toface! I think I put those first 100 catalogues out in about
20 minutes, because I didn’t want to see anyone!

“We’ve never worked so few hours a week as we have
now,” the pair laughed. “The quality of life is so much
better. For a few years, we just concentrated on retailing
and we consistently hit 21% every month. However, then
in September 2009, Kleeneze announced that the next
Destination was New York. It was like a light bulb went off
and we both said – right, we’re going there!”

working on helping on them going Gold and getting there.
Now we’ve done it once, we know that we can help
others to do it.”
The very next Period, John and Shelagh hit Gold and held
it, qualifying for the Destination.
“We just did more,” says Shelagh. “We were big retailers
anyway, so we sponsored a few team members in and
everyone just did a little bit extra.
“I have to admit, up until then; I did really believe that
people over-egged how good these trips were, but having
been on one now I know that they’re amazing. I think it’s
the fact that you’re made to feel so special. It’s all the little
touches, like bypassing the queue to go up the Empire
State Building for example. The best part, though, is being
with this great group of people – some of whom you’ve
only seen from a distance on the stage and now you’re
sitting down having a chat with them over a meal.

John and Shelagh’s success story doesn’t finish there
either. The couple, who had it on their goals to go Bronze
and hold it to win a Mini, found themselves achieving one
part of the goal earlier than expected when they won the
car in the Showcase draw on 1 September.
“The night before the Showcase and all of that day, I was
telling everyone we were going to win,” laughs John. “But
when they said our names, I was in shock!”
“By the time we got down onto the stage, I was shaking
and holding onto John and he was shaking too,”
remembers Shelagh.
“It’s just all been brilliant, though. I think our friends are
starting to think there might be something in Kleeneze!”

I think it inspired our team members that we went to New
York, as they really want to go to Dubai now. So we’re

MADE FOR KLEENEZE
You’ve probably heard of people talking about social media before. In fact, the probability is you have already
used it in some form or another. However, the likelihood is that you’ve yet to use it as a business tool.
The good news is that social media is one of the simplest most effective tools you’ll ever use in your business.
At the Showcase, we rounded up three of our Distributors that have found huge success using various forms
of social media and quizzed them mercilessly as to what it’s all about!
The biggest tip I can give can give everyone is to use the
YouTube search bar as your training tool. There are people out
there that will sell you e-books for £60, membership sites for
$100 a month, and all they will do is sell you more e-books and
workshops at £1000.

YOUTUBE AND GAVIN SCOTT, SILVER
PREMIER EXECUTIVE DISTRIBUTOR

www.youtube.com/kleenezehq

The Kleeneze YouTube channel has
had over 300,000 views. What
makes it so useful for everyone?
Not everyone can get to all the big meetings and your mind can
only take in small amounts of information at a time; remember
when you were at school you used to listen to the times tables
over and over again until you learned them? Or learning a
new language?

FACEBOOK AND DEBBIE GEE
SILVER EXECUTIVE DISTRIBUTOR

Kleeneze’s YouTube channel gives everyone the opportunity to
watch at a time that suits them and is great for picking up free
training tips. Kleeneze only put people on the channel who are
driving the business, so you’re learning from the right people,
who are walking the walk.

Facebook has over 900 million
active users. Is it really a business
tool, though?
I think that Facebook is an absolutely
fantastic business tool if used in the
right way.

How can you use it to grow your business?

For example, last October I had once in a lifetime opportunity of
meeting the entrepreneur, Richard Branson. Whilst chatting to
Richard and his staff at his head office I noticed all of them had
Facebook, Twitter, Tumbler and all the social media sites up on
their computers.

You can use some of stories as sponsoring tools to bring new
people into your team.
You may also learn from a product or party plan training to learn
those skills to increase your Kleeneze retail orders.
I keep a folder of the most asked-about points and when I have
a new Distributor who wants to learn a certain skill I can
forward them the Kleeneze YouTube link to watch, and ask for
their feedback.
You can even make videos with your own tips too.

So I asked why – and they told me that over 60% of their
workforce is employed to work on all aspects of social media;
whether it’s advertising, product promotion, competitions or
branding, they reckon that having a massive online profile is
really important for the company.

How do you see YouTube evolving?

Now in my eyes, if it’s good enough for Richard Branson’s
business, it’s certainly good enough for mine!

They say “a picture paints a thousand words” and video is
much more powerful; it brings a story to life and YouTube gives
the power for it to go viral. One video I made has over 225,000
views, and I’m not an expert video-maker, it’s only going to get
bigger. New smart phones make it so much easier.

How can you use Facebook to grow your business?
Well a good example is that early this year we introduced a team
group page. As soon as someone joins our team they’re added
to the group and can start asking questions and interacting with
other team members. We also publish recognition and all the
latest Kleeneze announcements on there.
06
Training
Social Media

you don’t know but with whom you share an interest. This is
why it has such profound use in political movements, sports,
music, and business.
For us, it’s a fabulous way to create interest about the business
for prospecting, and also to really grab the attention of existing
distributors with useful information.
And although you can only send very short messages, you can
include links to websites, photos, or any web based
information really.

We find people look at their Facebook page more regularly than
their emails and I’d say that it’s probably been the best business
tool we’ve introduced this year for team communication.

How can use it for your business?

I’ve also sponsored 14 people from my warm market – This is
from the Facebook posts I put down on a regular basis. I don’t
put business posts down all the time - I drip-feed that information
so as not to overload them.

There are two ways to use Twitter in your Kleeneze business;
first, for your new and existing Distributors to keep in touch with
what’s going on across the network – there are some things
Jamie announces FIRST on Twitter before anywhere else.

People see me interacting with other Kleeneze distributors,
having fun and it does look like a really happy, money making
business to join.

I recommend you follow the #Kleeneze hashtag so you can see
what others are tweeting about Kleeneze. I’ve sponsored new
Distributors directly from Twitter.
Secondly, it’s also been another useful tool for my warm market
as its been another way of showing my warm market the
business. However, it can’t do your job for you. We’re
networkers, so the skill of showing a prospect the business must
still be done by personal networking.

How do you get started?
Setting up an account is really simple. Choose a good photo of
yourself –– keep it as professional as possible but still reflecting
your personality.
Put a bit of detail in about yourself, don’t just make it all business
– you’ve got to remember you are building an online personality.
you’re now an online networker.

What are the dos and don’ts in using Twitter effectively?
Don’t just use Twitter to spam people with adverts for your
business. It’s an intuitive interactive tool and you must interact.

Add friends, family and work colleagues and other Kleeneze
Distributors. Then – just sit back and people-watch for a week.
Observe what works and you can do this by looking at the
number of likes and comments people get.

I’ve seen people on there who send the same message
repeatedly day in day out thinking that people will use their
service or be interested in what they’re doing. If you have a
broad range of interests, tweet about them. That will increase
the number of people who follow you.

www.facebook.com/kleenezeofficial
www.facebook.com/ezepartyofficial

Twitter is only as good as the people you are following. Some
people when they first start using Twitter complain that it’s
boring. You only see the tweets of the people you follow, so
follow a healthy number of people who you’re interested in.
Then interact...

TWITTER AND DOUG ROPER
GOLD EXECUTIVE DISTRIBUTOR
What’s Twitter all about?
Twitter is an online
social network that
allows users to post short rapid bursts of
information or communication in 140
characters or less, called tweets. That’s
slightly shorter than a standard mobile
text message which is 160 characters.

Don’t just read others’ tweets - interact with them. Re-tweet
information you think is interesting. The aim of twitter is to gain
followers who may then be interested in your message.

A DESTINATION THAT
BEATS ALL OTHERS
On 1 September 2012, we announced that the next incentive destination available for you to qualify for is a two-part trip to
Dubai and the Maldives!
“In my humble opinion, we’ve had the greatest response there’s ever
been for a Destination launch,” said Director of Network
“We HAVE to do it. Dubai has been on our
Development, Michael Khatkar. “That’s taking into account over
goal board for the last 10 years. I can’t
the past few years there have been huge launches such as New
believe this is finally within our grasp!”
Caroline Powell
York, Hong Kong, Cape Town and Miami to name but a few.
“I think the reason it’s fired everyone up so much is to a certain extent
because of the two parts of the Destination – Dubai AND the Maldives.
However, since the launch, so many people have told me that these are
“Both places are paradise! I hope to
the places that have been on their dream destination wish list for many years and now it’s possible. make it in 2013. Thank you, Kleeneze, for
everything you do for us Distributors”
“The criteria I have written for Destination 2013 is befitting for everyone in the Network. So, whether
Amrit Bhach
you’re brand new or have been in for two decades, it’s very possible that you can qualify.
“I desperately want all of you to be there, where every single scene you see is perfect. If you can experience
even half of what I did when whilst on the filming trip, it will be a destination you will never, ever forget.”
At Bracknell Kleeneze LIVE! in July of this year, we announced
a competition with a prize the likes of which had never been
seen in the business before. The rules were the Distributorship
who achieved the highest new business sales from 1 July
2012 until 23 August 2012 would be travelling to Destination
2013 the day after the Showcase!

Destination 2013
Competition
winners

The winners of the competition were
Bronze Executive Distributors, Stuart
and Robyn-Lee Heard. Team Talk caught
up with the couple on their return to find
out what they thought of Kleeneze’s
latest Destination.

Dubai Creek and back again, so we had our own personal
boat and tour guide! It’s great to see the different sides of
Dubai this way, both modern and old meet with the
presidential palace somewhere in between. From here we
took the metro back to the hotel. Much of the metro runs on
a monorail above the main freeway, so you can see Dubai
almost from above!

“From the moment it was announced that we had won the
competition, we were completely in awe of the whole
experience and journey that we were about to embark on!

Late afternoon and we were picked up from the hotel in a 4
x 4 and taken out in to the desert for our evening’s
entertainment which started off with a white knuckle ride
up, down and side-ways down the huge sand dunes!
Watching the sun set in the desert is quite an experience,
we then had the chance to take a short ride on a camel
before we arrived at our oasis, a traditional Arabian barbeque
whilst be entertained by belly dancing and Arabic dancers.

Arriving at the Westin Hotel
overlooking The Palm
Jumeriah (the palm islands
that Dubai is so famous
for), we were treated like
royalty from the out-set.
The hotel itself is of one
of the highest standards
I’ve ever seen on a
Kleeneze conference
and the staff really do make sure that every
need is taken care of. The hotel pool is amazing and winds
around the gardens and also has a private beach. The sea
water is that typically tropical turquoise in colour and it’s like
getting in to a bath it’s so warm! There are waiters to take
care of your needs both at the pool and on the beach, so
you’re never short of a drink! We spent our first day lazing at
the hotel. Headed off to the Gold Souk (Market) by taxi, it
was a great way to see some of Dubai’s amazing skyscrapers. Most of the taxi drivers love to double-up as their
own tour guide, so you get a real feel for the city. The Souk
offers everything from jewellery to fabrics to the usual tourist
t-shirts as well as spice markets, most of our fun came from
bartering with the traders, as this is the place to do it!
Our next mode of transport was by boat - but not in the
usual tourist way! One of the locals who runs a cross river
taxi service, offered to take us out as the sole passengers up

The third day was spent at the Atlantis Aquaventure water
park, located on the Palm
Islands, where we were
thrilled by the rides and
chilled out gently riding the
currents along the canals
that criss-cross the park.
Of course, the highlight of
the day was to achieve
one of our biggest goals swimming with dolphins,
a once in a lifetime
opportunity at Dolphin Bay.
Dubai was everything and more that we could want from a
destination - the only thing missing was YOU!
This is a trip that beats all others and MUST be experienced
by everyone in the network. Speak to your sponsor and
Upline, put a plan together and work towards this fantastic
destination - if you only get out half the enjoyment we’ve just
had, you’re still guaranteed a trip of a lifetime! Make sure
you’re there!”

09
Try walking in our shoes!
The best bit about Kleeneze, we think, is not only that everyone can do it,
but that someone already usually has so all you need to do is copy what
they did. Simples!
Sandra and I have been privileged to go on 7 Kleeneze
overseas conferences in the past 5 years, so we have some
experience of how to qualify. 7 trips - so here are 7 tips!
1. Understand the criteria thoroughly – check with your Upline if
you are in any doubt.
2. Start NOW. Don’t make the mistake of thinking: ’I have a year’.
You don’t. You must make measurable progress immediately.
Do something every day towards your qualification. Today, for
example, we stickered up Opportunity DVDs to give to all our
ordering customers as we have a customer base to collect in.
3. Have a written plan. Not a vague idea in your head of what you
need to do, but a specific, written down plan of activity.
4. Don’t give up, even when you hit some obstacles. Understand
right up front that you will hit some brick walls at some point in
the next few months as you work towards qualifying. Those
who succeed are the ones who keep going through those
tough times. Everyone who has qualified for destinations in the
past has experienced the same.

We have had the privilege of attending numerous Kleeneze
Destinations so far, from Safaris in South Africa; Cruising the
Caribbean on the largest sailing ship in the world; waking up in
Australia to our hotel room view of Sydney Harbour with its
magnificent Bridge and Opera House; to the very interesting and
modern world of Hong Kong; and not forgetting last year when we
visited the world famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel in ’New York - New
York’ with 16 members of the team, to name just a few!

5. Think in terms of growth through new Distributors, not just
increasing your personal retail. Recommend this business to
everybody. For long-term sustainable growth you need lots of
people in your team.
6. Download the pictures of Dubai and the Maldives from
www.destination2013.co.uk. Use them to inspire yourself and
your team.
7. Attend every event you can over the next year – business
opportunity meetings, Kleeneze LIVE!, any events your group
hold, wherever they are. Event attendance will keep you
focused and help you refine your plan where needed.

The Destinations can only be described as awesome, totally
unique and incomparable with any other ’holiday’ out there, and
Kleeneze always go that extra mile to give distributors the
incredible emotional sensation of feeling very special. They’re
always action packed with a full and exciting agenda, and it is little
wonder that once someone has experienced one of these amazing
Destinations they want to return time and again, especially as it is
always with like-minded and lovely people.

We know Destination XIII will be outstanding. The criteria is out
there, so our advice is to get together with your successful Upline
and devise a plan. The secret is to treat the advice very seriously
indeed and follow the plan to the letter, as although there is room
for some manoeuvre, it is important to keep directly on target
throughout the qualification period and not leave things to chance.

Kleeneze works!

People join Kleeneze for lots of different reasons: to make a little extra cash to help the household finances; to be
able to work flexible hours that fit around a busy family life or to satisfy career ambitions and financial goals.
Speak to any Kleeneze Distributor and you’ll find they all have a unique story to tell, but there is one thing they’ll

A far cry from where I imagined
I could be
As time went by, the impact
of having three children, and one less
income in the family, soon took its
toll on the finances

I grew up on a council estate with my parents
and two brothers. When my parents split up, I
drifted between my mum and dad’s place and
started to mix with the wrong crowd. None of us
thought we had any future. I used to talk about what I
wanted out of life, but everyone would tell me I had no
chance because of where we lived. I hardly ever went to
school and just hung around with my so-called friends.
Something had to change!

Of course, for things to change, you have to change – so I did and my
life started to get better. I left school at 16 with only 2 CSEs, but found
myself a clerical job and then as a typing clerk. From there I progressed
to the accountancy department and there I remained.
Mark and I got married a year-and-a-half after we met and soon
started a family. One after another, our first three children arrived and
soon eating out three times a week and regular weekends away
stopped altogether.
I didn’t go back to work, because childcare fees were too expensive
and, luckily, Mark’s income was good allowing me to stay at home
with the children. His income came with a price though and with his
work being so demanding I spent a lot of time bringing up the children
alone. Weekends were dominated by child-related activities and slowly
our dreams had started to slip away.
As time went by, the impact of having three children, and one less
income in the family, soon took its toll on the finances; credit cards paid
for the holidays and everyday expenses meant there was no money left
for us to treat the children.
Then a Kleeneze catalogue came through the door and after ordering a
couple of times I decided to fill in the catalogue slip with my details and
joined. Initially, I think Mark was concerned about me trying to balance
my home life with my business, but came to understand that it was
doing me good.
Mark then took a new role as a Director for a company in North Wales,
so we relocated and for five months my catalogues were in storage. I
started attending regular meetings, mixing with other distributors and
came to a Showcase, which really changed the way I felt about the
business. All of these meetings made me see the bigger picture.
Even when our fourth child was born in 2010 I carried on the business
from my hospital bed and when I got home, orders were waiting for me
to be sorted and delivered. The business carried on...
Last September Mark had a light bulb moment! He came along with me
to the Gala Dinner and was blown away by the positivity and was

humbled by the
success and
recognition of the
business. He told
me how proud he was
of my achievement in
Kleeneze, which at that point
was 15%, with a few team
members. After we got home, Mark
decided to join me in Kleeneze. This was after nearly four years of drip
feeding him with CDs which he wouldn’t admit to me that he’d listened
to - but I know he did!
We agreed to work as a team, and to make a plan for the Miami
conference. So we took advice from our Upline, Peter and Myrna
Wellock, and others in the group and started putting things into action.
It was like a military operation, with school, child care for our 2½ year
old, massive retail, with 5am starts 3 times a week, collecting ’til the
dead of night and working with new people. The Miami DVD and
Will Smith’s Miami CD blasting from my car every day, all helped to
keep us focused!
This Kleeneze journey has helped Mark and I to dream together again
and, yes, WE ARE GOING TO MIAMI!
Our next goals are to qualify as Bronze Executive and to take the family
to Florida. This business can give you so much; more money, freedom,
friendships, confidence and recognition to give us all a fantastic lifestyle
that no job can.

Shut Up and Move On!
Do you have fruity thinking? Do you operate on Hippo Time? Ever fallen prey to the Martyr Syndrome?
If you don’t know what we’re talking about, it’s about time you were taught how to Shut Up and Move On!
Paul McGee’s refreshing look at personal development (S.U.M.O.) is a straight-talking guide to creating and enjoying
a brilliant life. For those who were at the Kleeneze Christmas Showcase in 2008, you’ll remember him as the guest speaker
who wowed the crowd. The trainer is also known as the man who worked with Manchester United Football Club and
England’s World Cup winning rugby coach, Sir Clive Woodward.
Of course, Shut Up and Move On isn’t really quite as harsh
as it sounds! It’s more of a wake-up call for us to stop,
reflect, move on and do something. Paul’s no-nonsense
guide helps you silence that inner critic – the voice inside
your head that highlights your weaknesses and undermines
your confidence.
S.U.M.O will give you seven questions in times of stress
that will give you that strength to deal with whatever it is
and effectively move on:
1. Where is this on a scale of 1 – 10
(where 10 equals death!)?
2. How important will this be in six months’ time?
3. Is my response appropriate and effective?
4. How can I influence or improve the situation?

You can now win FIVE COPIES of
S.U.M.O for you and your team!
To be in with a chance, simply answer
this question:

Partying for a profit
For many single parents, being able to work part-time or flexible
hours is far more important than anything else. Being the sole
breadwinner in the family, along with providing a role model for
their children is immensely important, however, jobs that provide
that sort of flexibility can be thin on the ground.
Until now that is.
“As a single mum with 2 children, I was always looking for a way to
boost my income,” explains Silver Distributor, Della Tucker. “I’d been a
guest at a party plan event before and really enjoyed the sociable
shopping experience. It seemed as though becoming a party plan
consultant was exactly what I had been looking for. The opportunity to
earn an extra income whilst having fun and meeting new people was
ideal. Plus, it got me out of the house and – as much as I love my
children, it gave me some much-needed adult company!

Della Tucker

“I mentioned this to some friends of mine Nick and Anna Padfield, who
told me about ezespa. They showed me the products and told me a
little bit about the company. I was immediately impressed by the
quality of the products and the amazing prices. I had never heard
of Helen É before, but it was clear that these were premium
quality cosmetics with a fabulous portfolio and they would not
be difficult to sell. That together with the backing of a long
established award winning and hugely successful direct selling
company made the decision to join easy one, and I couldn’t wait
to get my kit and get started.

The opportunity to earn an extra
income whilst having fun and
meeting new people was ideal

“I joined ezespa at the end of April, and my first party was £335.
After just 3 parties I have achieved 10% and have sponsored 2 people
into my team.
“This is the beginning of something big and I want to be a part of the
huge success that I know this company is going to achieve with party
plan. My focus at the moment is to build a successful business not just
for myself but for the people working with me, an accomplished and
motivated team who will enjoy and embrace the business, and of course
I will be going for Gold.
“Destination 2013 is in my sights and there is a ticket to wherever
that might be with my name on it. I want to share my vision for the
future with everyone around me, infect my team with my
enthusiasm and excitement and of course share the success that is ours
for the taking.
“Party plan is a fantastic concept, and I can’t think of a better way of
earning a living. I hope that one day this will be my full time career and
that I can spend the rest of my working life being paid to party!”

Are you Going with Goals or Going for Gold? Either will take you a few miles closer to Dubai and the Maldives
How is your challenge going to retail £4k in the season? What will you spend your £1k income on?
A goal is something which is achieved when the mood it was made in has passed. Is it time to re evaluate, climb
the party tree and light up your life with ezeparty sparkle? To help you on your way Louisa, Lisa and I are
holding live parties around the country. Would you like to hold one
in your business?

Read how successful these events have been:
“Just a little feedback from the fab ezespa and make up party
you did for us. Everyone there enjoyed the whole evening. The
8 round tables were full. In fact, we had over 60 people attend
with at least 5 new consultants recruited, 10 Distributors going
to do parties themselves and 9 party bookings achieved from
the night. Plus lots of people watching across the country
on a live webinar very impressed at seeing and being part of a
live party.
And that’s exactly what happened. With 60 or so Distributors
and guests in attendance, the evening was filled with fun,
coaching, sponsoring and sales as Nadine, Lisa and Louisa
took us through the finer points of running a great ezespa party
- complete with a couple of make-overs.

The booking prizes were a real buzz with lots of people going
home with big smiles and very excited. We also raised £75 for
the Kleeneze Macmillan charity.
Thanks ever so much once again for creating a fantastic party
atmosphere, which encourages people to have a go
themselves. I am sure this will be a permanent fixture in many
Distributors’ diaries.”

The whole evening was a sparkling success, and a great way
to learn whilst you earn.”

“What can I say about the fabulous Nadine Ward and her
glamorous assistants at the Live Party Night at Nottingham?

“What a fabulously enjoyable evening we had recently, as
Nadine and her ezeparty Angels (aka Lisa and Louisa)
descended on Nottingham to run an ezeparty in action event.

Fantastic night with lots of fun frolics and training showing us
all how the professionals run a party. To actually see what a
party would be run like by the three glam girls was a treat in
itself, topped off by the fact that it was also used as a great
way to support a charity. I highly recommend getting along to
one of these. Even if you are not intending doing parties
yourself, it’s a brilliant learning process helping you to
understand how a party would be run.”

It occurred to us that not everyone feels confident to run a
party and not everyone feels they can fill a room full of people
to make a party a success - and whilst the coaching events
have been fantastic - there’s nothing like the ’real thing’ - so
we thought, why not combine the lot by running a real party
that Distributors could bring a guest or 2 along, learn from the
’masters in action’ (mistresses!) take some personal sales on
the night and whilst we’re at it raise some money for
charity as well?

Gold Incentive
The Gold incentive means that people who hold Gold
for 6 consecutive Periods will qualify for 10 Income Kits.
If they continue to hold Gold for a total of 10 out of 13
Periods, they will qualify for a cash bonus of £1,500.
That’s a 50% increase in the cash reward and
over £300 pounds of catalogues to further increase
your income!
Congratulations to the following Distributorships
who have qualified for the Gold Incentive, holding
their status for a total of 10 out of 13 Periods!

The build up to a Showcase is always a busy time here
at HQ, but really that’s just the beginning – the real
work starts now.
We’ve already seen Distributor numbers rise in the past few months
and it’s hardly surprising. Millions are unemployed and with mortgage
rates going up alongside the cost of living rising all the time, the
Kleeneze opportunity has a broader appeal than ever before.
That’s why I know that now is the perfect time to start building our
billion dollar business. As I explained at the Showcase, we are in an
industry measured in dollars so it stands to reason that we measure
our business in dollars too.
This month, we’ve already made serious inroads into starting on that
figure. Our Earn Now, Pay Later kits have seen sponsoring figures soar
and with more catalogues out there, our new starters are seeing a
faster return on investment.
The launch of Direct Despatch has also created a huge murmur in the
Network, as we suspected it might! It’s one of the most significant
moves in the business over the past decade.
Everyone knows that e-commerce is a major part of modern retail and
the introduction of your own Kleeneze shop was our first step to taking
a bite of that particular profitable apple. However, it came with the
restriction that you could only take orders within a certain distance
from your home and your customers had to pay on delivery. Direct
Despatch has done away with that restriction meaning you can
compete with all other online retailers.
We’re expecting that this innovation for Kleeneze will also have a direct
impact on your sponsoring too, as it broadens the appeal of the
business even more to a new generation of Distributors who want to
run an online business or perhaps blend traditional retail with online.
The other massive step forward we’re going to be taking is
international expansion into Spain. Done right, this is going to create a
huge impact on growth for the company. We’re anticipating a full
launch of this in September 2013, so watch this space!
So those are a just a couple of things that we’re doing at HQ to ensure
we hit that billion dollar figure. However, the important question is how
much of this jaw-dropping figure do you want? If you want to know
how much of it you can have, that’s easily answered – as much as
you want!
My vision is for Kleeneze to hit the Billion dollar annual turnover in
2023, as the business turns 100. At HQ, we’re willing to do whatever it
takes and provide whatever tools you need in order to turn this vision
into a reality.

How Kleeneze helped turn a life crisis around for one family

  • 2. Welcome to Team Talk September 2012 Editor’s note So, summer is officially over. I had such high hopes for it; dreams of days of endless sunshine and running barefoot through a field of daisies... Ok, realistically (even if the weather had been nice), the daisy field thing is actually, being a hay fever sufferer, not the most sensible way I could spend my time. However, there have definitely been a few things this summer that have kept my spirits up and they all came to a head on 1 September at the Annual Kleeneze Showcase. There’s nothing better to counteract the nights drawing in than knowing that in 14 months time you could be lying on a sun-soaked beach in Dubai or paddling in the Indian Ocean. In fact, if you’ve lost sight as to why this time of year is better for you than the average work-for-other-people folk, let me remind you what life can be like without Kleeneze: 1. The kids are back at school. Mornings involving yanking screaming children from their beds, plaiting their hair with one hand while brushing their teeth with the other to culminate with you arriving at work late with cornflakes down your shirt because you had to eat breakfast in the car in order to get them to school on time? So the screaming (theirs and yours) and the plaiting and brushing may still remain, but at least, being your own boss, you can eat your breakfast at leisure. Little things... 2. The kids are back at school. Oh yes, this deserves to be point number 2 as well, because children being back at school only means commuting is a rollercoaster of emotion and hand gestures. Avoiding the roads only means you’ll have to remortgage your home in order to buy a travel pass for the year too. 3. Your holidays are a distant memory. In a way, they made things even worse, because for those 10 days to 2 weeks you remembered all the good things about life – being outside all day long, playing with the kids, really truly relaxing. Now it’s back to the 9-5 grind, followed by evenings of mind-numbing telly. Sigh... 4. Christmas-induced debt panic. The shops are already stocking up on mince pies and you’re still paying off your credit card from last year and looking for a big pile of sand in which to bury your head. 5. Your only goal is to get through another week and hope that the weekend goes as slow as possible to prevent the onset of yet another week of thankless, unrewarding work. Luckily, for the most of you, these points are merely a distant memory, but even if they are still very fresh in your mind, you now know that Kleeneze offers the financial freedom, time flexibility and, most importantly the chance to take control of your life. We want to know why Kleeneze works for you. On pages 12 and 13, you’ll find some of the reasons Distributors have found that this business works for them, and every week in the weekly newsletter, EWB, you’ll find a Distributor testimonial to hopefully inspire you. If you’d like to see your story featured, email us at teamtalk@kleeneze.co.uk using the subject title ’Kleeneze Works’. Xenia Xenia Poole, Editor in Chief Xenia.poole@kleeneze.co.uk 02

  • 4. The wheels are in motion for our Kleeneze business In February 2005, the stress of Shelagh Irving’s job had left her an impossible situation. Faced with a choice between losing her sanity and losing her wage, she chose to leave work and become a Kleeneze Distributor. Seven years later, her lifestyle has never been better and now Shelagh and husband John, are our latest Mini First winners to boot! “I used to work for a high street bank,” explains Shelagh. “I was a cashier there and targets were set all the time, but it’s not like Kleeneze where you choose to achieve a target, it was very, very pressurised. Around the same time, I found out I was diabetic and we had a problem with one of the children and school, so along with the stress of the job, I broke down.” “It was really hard for me, so having the support of the team was great. It was like having extended family. I got £300 worth of orders on that first drop. ” “I stayed off for three months and when I went back it was a phased return basis – meant to be very flexible, however, one week when I asked that my hours remained the same for an extra week as I was getting very tired, I was told no. I ended up having to take another three months off and when I tried to return, after a couple of weeks, they said they were going to move me to another branch. It’s just not what you want – I needed familiarity right then. I just left, thinking it’s not worth my sanity.” “Shelagh had only been doing Kleeneze for a couple of months when I was made redundant,” remembers John. “I was working for a company repairing caravans, making a really good wage up until then. After I was made redundant, I started work with another company, but it was minimum wage and a huge drop. We simply couldn’t live on it. I worked two and three jobs over the course of that year, until I went to a company Showcase. After that, I knew that’s what I needed to do, so I joined Shelagh on the Distributorship.” Although Shelagh hadn’t been looking for a job, the couple did need some extra cash. However, then there came another bombshell – John had been made redundant. A couple of months later, Shelagh received a flyer through her door with a web address on it. Curiosity got the better of her and she found herself filling in her details. Until that point, John had been working around 60 to 70 hours a week, so Kleeneze offered not only a way to help out financially, but a complete change from the live to work lifestyle they’d been living before. “I was a bit dubious about it all, never having heard of Kleeneze before, but I went ahead with it and Andrew and Melanie Wilson sent me an information pack with a video. I sat and watched it with my daughter. She was saying: ’go on, you can do that – I’ll help you with it.’ My confidence was at an all-time low then and I only agreed because I didn’t think I’d have to meet anyone face-toface! I think I put those first 100 catalogues out in about 20 minutes, because I didn’t want to see anyone! “We’ve never worked so few hours a week as we have now,” the pair laughed. “The quality of life is so much better. For a few years, we just concentrated on retailing and we consistently hit 21% every month. However, then in September 2009, Kleeneze announced that the next Destination was New York. It was like a light bulb went off and we both said – right, we’re going there!” 04
  • 5. Mini winners John and Shelagh Irving working on helping on them going Gold and getting there. Now we’ve done it once, we know that we can help others to do it.” The very next Period, John and Shelagh hit Gold and held it, qualifying for the Destination. “We just did more,” says Shelagh. “We were big retailers anyway, so we sponsored a few team members in and everyone just did a little bit extra. “I have to admit, up until then; I did really believe that people over-egged how good these trips were, but having been on one now I know that they’re amazing. I think it’s the fact that you’re made to feel so special. It’s all the little touches, like bypassing the queue to go up the Empire State Building for example. The best part, though, is being with this great group of people – some of whom you’ve only seen from a distance on the stage and now you’re sitting down having a chat with them over a meal. John and Shelagh’s success story doesn’t finish there either. The couple, who had it on their goals to go Bronze and hold it to win a Mini, found themselves achieving one part of the goal earlier than expected when they won the car in the Showcase draw on 1 September. “The night before the Showcase and all of that day, I was telling everyone we were going to win,” laughs John. “But when they said our names, I was in shock!” “By the time we got down onto the stage, I was shaking and holding onto John and he was shaking too,” remembers Shelagh. “It’s just all been brilliant, though. I think our friends are starting to think there might be something in Kleeneze!” I think it inspired our team members that we went to New York, as they really want to go to Dubai now. So we’re 05
  • 6. MADE FOR KLEENEZE You’ve probably heard of people talking about social media before. In fact, the probability is you have already used it in some form or another. However, the likelihood is that you’ve yet to use it as a business tool. The good news is that social media is one of the simplest most effective tools you’ll ever use in your business. At the Showcase, we rounded up three of our Distributors that have found huge success using various forms of social media and quizzed them mercilessly as to what it’s all about! The biggest tip I can give can give everyone is to use the YouTube search bar as your training tool. There are people out there that will sell you e-books for £60, membership sites for $100 a month, and all they will do is sell you more e-books and workshops at £1000. YOUTUBE AND GAVIN SCOTT, SILVER PREMIER EXECUTIVE DISTRIBUTOR www.youtube.com/kleenezehq The Kleeneze YouTube channel has had over 300,000 views. What makes it so useful for everyone? Not everyone can get to all the big meetings and your mind can only take in small amounts of information at a time; remember when you were at school you used to listen to the times tables over and over again until you learned them? Or learning a new language? FACEBOOK AND DEBBIE GEE SILVER EXECUTIVE DISTRIBUTOR Kleeneze’s YouTube channel gives everyone the opportunity to watch at a time that suits them and is great for picking up free training tips. Kleeneze only put people on the channel who are driving the business, so you’re learning from the right people, who are walking the walk. Facebook has over 900 million active users. Is it really a business tool, though? I think that Facebook is an absolutely fantastic business tool if used in the right way. How can you use it to grow your business? For example, last October I had once in a lifetime opportunity of meeting the entrepreneur, Richard Branson. Whilst chatting to Richard and his staff at his head office I noticed all of them had Facebook, Twitter, Tumbler and all the social media sites up on their computers. You can use some of stories as sponsoring tools to bring new people into your team. You may also learn from a product or party plan training to learn those skills to increase your Kleeneze retail orders. I keep a folder of the most asked-about points and when I have a new Distributor who wants to learn a certain skill I can forward them the Kleeneze YouTube link to watch, and ask for their feedback. You can even make videos with your own tips too. So I asked why – and they told me that over 60% of their workforce is employed to work on all aspects of social media; whether it’s advertising, product promotion, competitions or branding, they reckon that having a massive online profile is really important for the company. How do you see YouTube evolving? Now in my eyes, if it’s good enough for Richard Branson’s business, it’s certainly good enough for mine! They say “a picture paints a thousand words” and video is much more powerful; it brings a story to life and YouTube gives the power for it to go viral. One video I made has over 225,000 views, and I’m not an expert video-maker, it’s only going to get bigger. New smart phones make it so much easier. How can you use Facebook to grow your business? Well a good example is that early this year we introduced a team group page. As soon as someone joins our team they’re added to the group and can start asking questions and interacting with other team members. We also publish recognition and all the latest Kleeneze announcements on there. 06
  • 7. Training Social Media you don’t know but with whom you share an interest. This is why it has such profound use in political movements, sports, music, and business. For us, it’s a fabulous way to create interest about the business for prospecting, and also to really grab the attention of existing distributors with useful information. And although you can only send very short messages, you can include links to websites, photos, or any web based information really. We find people look at their Facebook page more regularly than their emails and I’d say that it’s probably been the best business tool we’ve introduced this year for team communication. How can use it for your business? I’ve also sponsored 14 people from my warm market – This is from the Facebook posts I put down on a regular basis. I don’t put business posts down all the time - I drip-feed that information so as not to overload them. There are two ways to use Twitter in your Kleeneze business; first, for your new and existing Distributors to keep in touch with what’s going on across the network – there are some things Jamie announces FIRST on Twitter before anywhere else. People see me interacting with other Kleeneze distributors, having fun and it does look like a really happy, money making business to join. I recommend you follow the #Kleeneze hashtag so you can see what others are tweeting about Kleeneze. I’ve sponsored new Distributors directly from Twitter. Secondly, it’s also been another useful tool for my warm market as its been another way of showing my warm market the business. However, it can’t do your job for you. We’re networkers, so the skill of showing a prospect the business must still be done by personal networking. How do you get started? Setting up an account is really simple. Choose a good photo of yourself –– keep it as professional as possible but still reflecting your personality. Put a bit of detail in about yourself, don’t just make it all business – you’ve got to remember you are building an online personality. you’re now an online networker. What are the dos and don’ts in using Twitter effectively? Don’t just use Twitter to spam people with adverts for your business. It’s an intuitive interactive tool and you must interact. Add friends, family and work colleagues and other Kleeneze Distributors. Then – just sit back and people-watch for a week. Observe what works and you can do this by looking at the number of likes and comments people get. I’ve seen people on there who send the same message repeatedly day in day out thinking that people will use their service or be interested in what they’re doing. If you have a broad range of interests, tweet about them. That will increase the number of people who follow you. www.facebook.com/kleenezeofficial www.facebook.com/ezepartyofficial Twitter is only as good as the people you are following. Some people when they first start using Twitter complain that it’s boring. You only see the tweets of the people you follow, so follow a healthy number of people who you’re interested in. Then interact... TWITTER AND DOUG ROPER GOLD EXECUTIVE DISTRIBUTOR What’s Twitter all about? Twitter is an online social network that allows users to post short rapid bursts of information or communication in 140 characters or less, called tweets. That’s slightly shorter than a standard mobile text message which is 160 characters. Don’t just read others’ tweets - interact with them. Re-tweet information you think is interesting. The aim of twitter is to gain followers who may then be interested in your message. www.twitter.com/MrJamie_Stewart www.twitter.com/Michael_Khatkar www.twitter.com/XeniaKleeenze Twitter allows you to connect globally with others who share your interests. In other words you can communicate instantly with people who www.twitter.com/Lloydwbrown www.twitter.com/@Nadine_Ward 07
  • 8. A DESTINATION THAT BEATS ALL OTHERS On 1 September 2012, we announced that the next incentive destination available for you to qualify for is a two-part trip to Dubai and the Maldives! “In my humble opinion, we’ve had the greatest response there’s ever been for a Destination launch,” said Director of Network “We HAVE to do it. Dubai has been on our Development, Michael Khatkar. “That’s taking into account over goal board for the last 10 years. I can’t the past few years there have been huge launches such as New believe this is finally within our grasp!” Caroline Powell York, Hong Kong, Cape Town and Miami to name but a few. “I think the reason it’s fired everyone up so much is to a certain extent because of the two parts of the Destination – Dubai AND the Maldives. However, since the launch, so many people have told me that these are “Both places are paradise! I hope to the places that have been on their dream destination wish list for many years and now it’s possible. make it in 2013. Thank you, Kleeneze, for everything you do for us Distributors” “The criteria I have written for Destination 2013 is befitting for everyone in the Network. So, whether Amrit Bhach you’re brand new or have been in for two decades, it’s very possible that you can qualify. “I desperately want all of you to be there, where every single scene you see is perfect. If you can experience even half of what I did when whilst on the filming trip, it will be a destination you will never, ever forget.” At Bracknell Kleeneze LIVE! in July of this year, we announced a competition with a prize the likes of which had never been seen in the business before. The rules were the Distributorship who achieved the highest new business sales from 1 July 2012 until 23 August 2012 would be travelling to Destination 2013 the day after the Showcase! “Fantastic, fantastic, fantastic dream destinations. Only with Kleeneze!” Matt Self Congratulations to everyone who worked so hard to get into the running for this amazing prize: 10.Lynn Macdonald “I want to be a part of this!!! 9. Mark Law and Diana Searle Susanne Lombart 8. Katrina and Ian Harvey-Winstanley 7. Andrew Buxton and Laura Kelly 6. Raymond and Miriam Turnbull “I can’t get my breath! I said to my Upline that I hoped the Destination would be Dubai and what do you do you pull that out of the hat! Yeeha!” 5. Karen and Neil Young 4. Eamon Lynch and Marie Ryan 3. Debbie Gee and David White 2. Ian Williams and Sally Mellor Claire Underdown 08
  • 9. Destination 2013 Competition winners The winners of the competition were Bronze Executive Distributors, Stuart and Robyn-Lee Heard. Team Talk caught up with the couple on their return to find out what they thought of Kleeneze’s latest Destination. Dubai Creek and back again, so we had our own personal boat and tour guide! It’s great to see the different sides of Dubai this way, both modern and old meet with the presidential palace somewhere in between. From here we took the metro back to the hotel. Much of the metro runs on a monorail above the main freeway, so you can see Dubai almost from above! “From the moment it was announced that we had won the competition, we were completely in awe of the whole experience and journey that we were about to embark on! Late afternoon and we were picked up from the hotel in a 4 x 4 and taken out in to the desert for our evening’s entertainment which started off with a white knuckle ride up, down and side-ways down the huge sand dunes! Watching the sun set in the desert is quite an experience, we then had the chance to take a short ride on a camel before we arrived at our oasis, a traditional Arabian barbeque whilst be entertained by belly dancing and Arabic dancers. Arriving at the Westin Hotel overlooking The Palm Jumeriah (the palm islands that Dubai is so famous for), we were treated like royalty from the out-set. The hotel itself is of one of the highest standards I’ve ever seen on a Kleeneze conference and the staff really do make sure that every need is taken care of. The hotel pool is amazing and winds around the gardens and also has a private beach. The sea water is that typically tropical turquoise in colour and it’s like getting in to a bath it’s so warm! There are waiters to take care of your needs both at the pool and on the beach, so you’re never short of a drink! We spent our first day lazing at the hotel. Headed off to the Gold Souk (Market) by taxi, it was a great way to see some of Dubai’s amazing skyscrapers. Most of the taxi drivers love to double-up as their own tour guide, so you get a real feel for the city. The Souk offers everything from jewellery to fabrics to the usual tourist t-shirts as well as spice markets, most of our fun came from bartering with the traders, as this is the place to do it! Our next mode of transport was by boat - but not in the usual tourist way! One of the locals who runs a cross river taxi service, offered to take us out as the sole passengers up The third day was spent at the Atlantis Aquaventure water park, located on the Palm Islands, where we were thrilled by the rides and chilled out gently riding the currents along the canals that criss-cross the park. Of course, the highlight of the day was to achieve one of our biggest goals swimming with dolphins, a once in a lifetime opportunity at Dolphin Bay. Dubai was everything and more that we could want from a destination - the only thing missing was YOU! This is a trip that beats all others and MUST be experienced by everyone in the network. Speak to your sponsor and Upline, put a plan together and work towards this fantastic destination - if you only get out half the enjoyment we’ve just had, you’re still guaranteed a trip of a lifetime! Make sure you’re there!” 09
  • 10. Try walking in our shoes! The best bit about Kleeneze, we think, is not only that everyone can do it, but that someone already usually has so all you need to do is copy what they did. Simples! Sandra and I have been privileged to go on 7 Kleeneze overseas conferences in the past 5 years, so we have some experience of how to qualify. 7 trips - so here are 7 tips! 1. Understand the criteria thoroughly – check with your Upline if you are in any doubt. 2. Start NOW. Don’t make the mistake of thinking: ’I have a year’. You don’t. You must make measurable progress immediately. Do something every day towards your qualification. Today, for example, we stickered up Opportunity DVDs to give to all our ordering customers as we have a customer base to collect in. 3. Have a written plan. Not a vague idea in your head of what you need to do, but a specific, written down plan of activity. 4. Don’t give up, even when you hit some obstacles. Understand right up front that you will hit some brick walls at some point in the next few months as you work towards qualifying. Those who succeed are the ones who keep going through those tough times. Everyone who has qualified for destinations in the past has experienced the same. , yrna Wellock eter and MExecutive Distributors P Silver Senior We have had the privilege of attending numerous Kleeneze Destinations so far, from Safaris in South Africa; Cruising the Caribbean on the largest sailing ship in the world; waking up in Australia to our hotel room view of Sydney Harbour with its magnificent Bridge and Opera House; to the very interesting and modern world of Hong Kong; and not forgetting last year when we visited the world famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel in ’New York - New York’ with 16 members of the team, to name just a few! 5. Think in terms of growth through new Distributors, not just increasing your personal retail. Recommend this business to everybody. For long-term sustainable growth you need lots of people in your team. 6. Download the pictures of Dubai and the Maldives from www.destination2013.co.uk. Use them to inspire yourself and your team. 7. Attend every event you can over the next year – business opportunity meetings, Kleeneze LIVE!, any events your group hold, wherever they are. Event attendance will keep you focused and help you refine your plan where needed. The Destinations can only be described as awesome, totally unique and incomparable with any other ’holiday’ out there, and Kleeneze always go that extra mile to give distributors the incredible emotional sensation of feeling very special. They’re always action packed with a full and exciting agenda, and it is little wonder that once someone has experienced one of these amazing Destinations they want to return time and again, especially as it is always with like-minded and lovely people. Doug and Sandra Roper, Gold Executive Distributors We know Destination XIII will be outstanding. The criteria is out there, so our advice is to get together with your successful Upline and devise a plan. The secret is to treat the advice very seriously indeed and follow the plan to the letter, as although there is room for some manoeuvre, it is important to keep directly on target throughout the qualification period and not leave things to chance. • 14. Testimonial Vanessa Hodgkinson A far cry from where I imagined I could be As time went by, the impact of having three children, and one less income in the family, soon took its toll on the finances I grew up on a council estate with my parents and two brothers. When my parents split up, I drifted between my mum and dad’s place and started to mix with the wrong crowd. None of us thought we had any future. I used to talk about what I wanted out of life, but everyone would tell me I had no chance because of where we lived. I hardly ever went to school and just hung around with my so-called friends. Something had to change! Of course, for things to change, you have to change – so I did and my life started to get better. I left school at 16 with only 2 CSEs, but found myself a clerical job and then as a typing clerk. From there I progressed to the accountancy department and there I remained. Mark and I got married a year-and-a-half after we met and soon started a family. One after another, our first three children arrived and soon eating out three times a week and regular weekends away stopped altogether. I didn’t go back to work, because childcare fees were too expensive and, luckily, Mark’s income was good allowing me to stay at home with the children. His income came with a price though and with his work being so demanding I spent a lot of time bringing up the children alone. Weekends were dominated by child-related activities and slowly our dreams had started to slip away. As time went by, the impact of having three children, and one less income in the family, soon took its toll on the finances; credit cards paid for the holidays and everyday expenses meant there was no money left for us to treat the children. Then a Kleeneze catalogue came through the door and after ordering a couple of times I decided to fill in the catalogue slip with my details and joined. Initially, I think Mark was concerned about me trying to balance my home life with my business, but came to understand that it was doing me good. Mark then took a new role as a Director for a company in North Wales, so we relocated and for five months my catalogues were in storage. I started attending regular meetings, mixing with other distributors and came to a Showcase, which really changed the way I felt about the business. All of these meetings made me see the bigger picture. Even when our fourth child was born in 2010 I carried on the business from my hospital bed and when I got home, orders were waiting for me to be sorted and delivered. The business carried on... Last September Mark had a light bulb moment! He came along with me to the Gala Dinner and was blown away by the positivity and was 14 gkinson Vanessa Hod This Kleeneze journey has helped Mark and I to dream together again and, yes, WE ARE GOING TO MIAMI! humbled by the success and recognition of the business. He told me how proud he was of my achievement in Kleeneze, which at that point was 15%, with a few team members. After we got home, Mark decided to join me in Kleeneze. This was after nearly four years of drip feeding him with CDs which he wouldn’t admit to me that he’d listened to - but I know he did! We agreed to work as a team, and to make a plan for the Miami conference. So we took advice from our Upline, Peter and Myrna Wellock, and others in the group and started putting things into action. It was like a military operation, with school, child care for our 2½ year old, massive retail, with 5am starts 3 times a week, collecting ’til the dead of night and working with new people. The Miami DVD and Will Smith’s Miami CD blasting from my car every day, all helped to keep us focused! This Kleeneze journey has helped Mark and I to dream together again and, yes, WE ARE GOING TO MIAMI! Our next goals are to qualify as Bronze Executive and to take the family to Florida. This business can give you so much; more money, freedom, friendships, confidence and recognition to give us all a fantastic lifestyle that no job can.

If you don’t know what we’re talking about, it’s about time you were taught how to Shut Up and Move On! Paul McGee’s refreshing look at personal development (S.U.M.O.) is a straight-talking guide to creating and enjoying a brilliant life. For those who were at the Kleeneze Christmas Showcase in 2008, you’ll remember him as the guest speaker who wowed the crowd. The trainer is also known as the man who worked with Manchester United Football Club and England’s World Cup winning rugby coach, Sir Clive Woodward. Of course, Shut Up and Move On isn’t really quite as harsh as it sounds! It’s more of a wake-up call for us to stop, reflect, move on and do something. Paul’s no-nonsense guide helps you silence that inner critic – the voice inside your head that highlights your weaknesses and undermines your confidence. S.U.M.O will give you seven questions in times of stress that will give you that strength to deal with whatever it is and effectively move on: 1. • 19. Testimonial Della Tucker Partying for a profit For many single parents, being able to work part-time or flexible hours is far more important than anything else. Being the sole breadwinner in the family, along with providing a role model for their children is immensely important, however, jobs that provide that sort of flexibility can be thin on the ground. Until now that is. “As a single mum with 2 children, I was always looking for a way to boost my income,” explains Silver Distributor, Della Tucker. “I’d been a guest at a party plan event before and really enjoyed the sociable shopping experience. It seemed as though becoming a party plan consultant was exactly what I had been looking for. The opportunity to earn an extra income whilst having fun and meeting new people was ideal. Plus, it got me out of the house and – as much as I love my children, it gave me some much-needed adult company! Della Tucker “I mentioned this to some friends of mine Nick and Anna Padfield, who told me about ezespa. They showed me the products and told me a little bit about the company. I was immediately impressed by the quality of the products and the amazing prices. I had never heard of Helen É before, but it was clear that these were premium quality cosmetics with a fabulous portfolio and they would not be difficult to sell. That together with the backing of a long established award winning and hugely successful direct selling company made the decision to join easy one, and I couldn’t wait to get my kit and get started. The opportunity to earn an extra income whilst having fun and meeting new people was ideal “I joined ezespa at the end of April, and my first party was £335. After just 3 parties I have achieved 10% and have sponsored 2 people into my team. “This is the beginning of something big and I want to be a part of the huge success that I know this company is going to achieve with party plan. My focus at the moment is to build a successful business not just for myself but for the people working with me, an accomplished and motivated team who will enjoy and embrace the business, and of course I will be going for Gold. “Destination 2013 is in my sights and there is a ticket to wherever that might be with my name on it. I want to share my vision for the future with everyone around me, infect my team with my enthusiasm and excitement and of course share the success that is ours for the taking. “Party plan is a fantastic concept, and I can’t think of a better way of earning a living. I hope that one day this will be my full time career and that I can spend the rest of my working life being paid to party!” 19 After just 3 parties I have achieved 10% and have sponsored 2 people into my team Party plan is a fantastic concept, and I can’t think of a better way of earning a living

To help you on your way Louisa, Lisa and I are holding live parties around the country. Would you like to hold one in your business? Read how successful these events have been: “Just a little feedback from the fab ezespa and make up party you did for us. Everyone there enjoyed the whole evening. The 8 round tables were full. In fact, we had over 60 people attend with at least 5 new consultants recruited, 10 Distributors going to do parties themselves and 9 party bookings achieved from the night. Plus lots of people watching across the country on a live webinar very impressed at seeing and being part of a live party. And that’s exactly what happened. With 60 or so Distributors and guests in attendance, the evening was filled with fun, coaching, sponsoring and sales as Nadine, Lisa and Louisa took us through the finer points of running a great ezespa party - complete with a couple of make-overs. The booking prizes were a real buzz with lots of people going home with big smiles and very excited. We also raised £75 for the Kleeneze Macmillan charity. Thanks ever so much once again for creating a fantastic party atmosphere, which encourages people to have a go themselves. I am sure this will be a permanent fixture in many Distributors’ diaries.” The whole evening was a sparkling success, and a great way to learn whilst you earn.” Geoff and Fiona Webb Silver Senior Executive Distributors Sue Burras Silver Senior Executive Distributor “What can I say about the fabulous Nadine Ward and her glamorous assistants at the Live Party Night at Nottingham? “What a fabulously enjoyable evening we had recently, as Nadine and her ezeparty Angels (aka Lisa and Louisa) descended on Nottingham to run an ezeparty in action event. Fantastic night with lots of fun frolics and training showing us all how the professionals run a party. To actually see what a party would be run like by the three glam girls was a treat in itself, topped off by the fact that it was also used as a great way to support a charity. I highly recommend getting along to one of these. Even if you are not intending doing parties yourself, it’s a brilliant learning process helping you to understand how a party would be run.” It occurred to us that not everyone feels confident to run a party and not everyone feels they can fill a room full of people to make a party a success - and whilst the coaching events have been fantastic - there’s nothing like the ’real thing’ - so we thought, why not combine the lot by running a real party that Distributors could bring a guest or 2 along, learn from the ’masters in action’ (mistresses!) take some personal sales on the night and whilst we’re at it raise some money for charity as well? • 27. Jamie Stewart The build up to a Showcase is always a busy time here at HQ, but really that’s just the beginning – the real work starts now. We’ve already seen Distributor numbers rise in the past few months and it’s hardly surprising. Millions are unemployed and with mortgage rates going up alongside the cost of living rising all the time, the Kleeneze opportunity has a broader appeal than ever before. That’s why I know that now is the perfect time to start building our billion dollar business. As I explained at the Showcase, we are in an industry measured in dollars so it stands to reason that we measure our business in dollars too. This month, we’ve already made serious inroads into starting on that figure. Our Earn Now, Pay Later kits have seen sponsoring figures soar and with more catalogues out there, our new starters are seeing a faster return on investment. The launch of Direct Despatch has also created a huge murmur in the Network, as we suspected it might! It’s one of the most significant moves in the business over the past decade. Everyone knows that e-commerce is a major part of modern retail and the introduction of your own Kleeneze shop was our first step to taking a bite of that particular profitable apple. However, it came with the restriction that you could only take orders within a certain distance from your home and your customers had to pay on delivery. Direct Despatch has done away with that restriction meaning you can compete with all other online retailers. We’re expecting that this innovation for Kleeneze will also have a direct impact on your sponsoring too, as it broadens the appeal of the business even more to a new generation of Distributors who want to run an online business or perhaps blend traditional retail with online. The other massive step forward we’re going to be taking is international expansion into Spain. Done right, this is going to create a huge impact on growth for the company. We’re anticipating a full launch of this in September 2013, so watch this space! So those are a just a couple of things that we’re doing at HQ to ensure we hit that billion dollar figure. However, the important question is how much of this jaw-dropping figure do you want? If you want to know how much of it you can have, that’s easily answered – as much as you want! My vision is for Kleeneze to hit the Billion dollar annual turnover in 2023, as the business turns 100.
