Wishing to communicate research studies, institute reports, and publications from three different
institutions, Johns Hopkins Bill and Melinda Gates Institute was seeking a web-based database that
could be implemented into their current Drupal CMS in order to archive and display desired content
from each individual research institute. Once complete, this database would be implemented into
each organization’s website adding value and functionality while not forgetting sleek design elements
for increased brand recognition. With a difficult task at hand, the Bill and Melinda Gates Institute
recognized Blue Water’s excellence from collaboration on many successful projects throughout the
years, and with that instilled confidence the Bill and Melinda Gates Institute selected Blue Water to
carry out the work.

The Results< >
The Bill and Melinda Gates Institute and Blue Water worked together to inventory and tag all
publications offered across the three websites allowing them to be searched by unique indicators inside
of a web hosted database.
Blue Water then presented a new site architecture plan for the database that provided cohesiveness
and improved user experience among users and stakeholders. Our design experts produced multiple
screenshots and wireframes until the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation was completely satisfied with
the end result.
Upon completing the requirements for the database, Blue Water installed the database on all three
participating websites. This site is currently live on the web being utilized to bring a wealth of knowledge
to the study of world reproductive health.
