1973: GI Security was founded in Kolkata
1981: The first branch in Delhi was opened
1993: The Mumbai branch was opened
2000: Facility Services was founded
2006: The year marked a decade of existence in Chennai and Ahmedabad and 25 years in Delhi
2007:
Facility Services was renamed Manpasand Manpower Pvt. Ltd., encompassing the outsourcing, recruitment,
housekeeping and facility management businesses
Bishopsgate services was established as a JV between leaders in their independent fields of manpower
services and real estate to focus on the local facility management business

2008: The year was a watershed for the group, with BGSPL managing 2 million sq ft, Kolkata becoming
the largest branch, 15 years of business in Mumbai and 35 years of being in business as a group
2009:
• Joint venture with Canada’s Canpro Global to train security guards in India to PSAR Act (2005) standards
– first batch completed the course in November
• Chandigarh, Bhubaneswar, Barmer, Siliguri formalised as separate branches to tap local markets
• Through 2008-09, the group has managed to retain 99.37% of its 400-plus clients. It manages milions of
square feet of facilities and provides security across hundreds of sites.

• Pan-India the group has 17 branches and all subsidiaries are ISO 9001:2000 certified
• Housekeeping division under Manpasand Manpower Pvt. Ltd. was renamed Cleansweep to better represent the
corporate ethos and solutions offered
• After Kolkata and Delhi, the third training centre under Gi Canpro is opened in Bhubaneswar.
• MoU signed with Alpha Group to set up a Facility Management company in the UAE
