September 10 Budget The budget is your foundation for success with money. Add a good
9 am – noon Management understanding of account management and you will be unstoppable! Learn
Class the basics of developing your own budget and making your money work for
you, instead of you always working for the money. Part of managing the
account is keeping track of what you spend and where. We will show you
tips, tricks, and “secrets” of the trade at this comprehensive class designed

September 10 Resume Writing Family Employment Readiness conducts this lab to assist Military Family

September 11 Family Night Spend the evening out with the kids at the Winner’s Circle. Each week
5 – 7 pm there is a special fun activity for the children to participate in. The Pizza and
Pasta Buffet is sure to meet anyone's appetite. $6 for adults and $3 for
children 8 and under. Each week a different themed entertainment is
provided for family fun. Activity this week is a Back To School Carnival.

September 12 Fort Drum Find out what’s happening on Fort Drum. This is a great opportunity for all
10:30 am – noon Information and community members to get up-to-date information directly from agency
Town Hall representatives. Attendees may ask questions, express concerns and ideas
Meeting and get immediate answers. ALL community members are invited and
encouraged to attend. Refreshments and door prizes provided. Don’t miss
out on this opportunity to find out what’s happening on Fort Drum. The
meeting will be live on the 10th Mountain Division Facebook page allowing
you to ask questions throughout the meeting. Anyone unable to attend the

September 12 Financial Peace Ramsey's Financial Peace University is presented at the Family Life and
6:30 University Spiritual Fitness Center on Fort Drum. The 13 week class meets on
Preview Wednesdays at 6:30 pm beginning September 19 and continuing through

September 14 Hearts Apart Monthly support & fun-filled activity program for Families separated due to
10 am – noon Support Group deployment, unaccompanied tour or extended TDY. Registration required.

September 15 BOSS 5K Run This run will start at Magrath Sports Complex. Open to active duty military
8 am assigned/attached to Fort Drum, Family members, retirees, reservists, and
DoD civilians employed on Fort Drum. Register at race site starting at 7:30
am the day of the event until the beginning of the race at 8 am. Dogs are
welcome. Please remember to bring your NYS registration and leash if you

2. September 15 ATV Safety Class This 4 hour class is mandatory to operate a FMWR ATV. Sign up early

September 20 BOSS Hike to Join BOSS for a hike to Mount Marcy which is one of the High Peaks of the
5:45 am Mount Marcy Adirondack Mountains. Cost is $15 per person with a limit of 30 people to
attend. Participants must be experienced hikers as this Mount Marcy hike is
classified as difficult. Prior registration is required.

Save The Date: Friday, October 26, 2012. Beware… and come if you dare to The Haunted
Hayride at Remington Park. Creepy things are there to scare as you ride through Remington
Park on one of the tractor drawn trolleys. Walk through the haunted pavilion and cemetery
then scurry back across the spooky bridge to check out the creepy animal exhibit presented by
the zoo at Thompson Park. A little monster’s fun zone is available for kids 12 and under with
tamer activities for younger children. Additional treats include group photos, snacks and
drinks, and a bonfire for marshmallow roasting. Patrons can catch the shuttle to Remington
Park from Mountain Community Homes Community Centers or Magrath Sports Complex.
This event is free to all DoD ID card holders. Parental discretion is advised for some of the
evening’s offerings and children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
