11 reasons to bring an
expert on board
You require a travel management company which delivers
value for your business travel spend. You want someone
with the knowledge and expertise to proactively manage
and advise you on your programme, be vigilant about the
security of your travellers and generate savings-based
solutions to benefit your bottom line.
We believe this is why Corporate Traveller has won
Business Travel Agency of the Year in one of the travel
industry’s most prestigious awards.
When it comes to business travel nothing beats having an
expert on board. A corporate traveller expert has exceptional
product knowledge to deliver airfare and accommodation
options and open up a world of savings and efficiencies for
your organisation.
We think the decision is easy and here are
11 great reasons to bring a Corporate
Traveller expert on board.

1Airfareexpertise
Corporate Traveller consultants are the best in the industry.
Most have graduated through the ranks of our retail
businesses and as a result, when it comes to airfares, their
product knowledge and skills are second to none. This is
what enables them to deliver savings to your bottom line.
Your Corporate Traveller expert has an enormous amount of
experience and because we’re passionate about travel, we
invest substantially in training for our consultants from day one.
We take product knowledge seriously – it’s why we stand
out from the crowd. Corporate Traveller is also committed
to the ongoing development of our people through our own
Learning Centre, airline-direct training days, conferences
and advanced airfare training courses.
Even our experts have experts – our Specialist Fares Desk
provides support for our consultants and is made up of the
super airfare ‘geeks’ and there’s no tip, trick or secret this
team doesn’t know.
Alicia is really what makes working
with Corporate Traveller so easy.
She takes full responsibility for all our
travel requirements… it really makes it
feel like we have our own PA.

She is just really helpful all the time.
I had to go through a trip to Orlando,
and I think Sarah stayed quite late
and was running me through how
to get the airport. It is just those little
extra bits that I really appreciate.

Navigating your own way through the endless number
of airfare types and hotel rates can be daunting. Within
mainstream travel, there are already a number of options, let
alone taking into account business tailored fares, specialist
fares, fly and stay or multi-stop network fares.
Get any of these wrong and you could be seriously out of
pocket. Not to mention the time it takes.
Bring the Corporate Traveller team on board and you’ll have
access to a team of travel specialists who’ll work through
this minefield for you. Your dedicated travel expert has the
experience and knowledge to understand which fare or rate
best suits your needs.
In support of your travel expert is also a team of air and land
contracting specialists who are continually sourcing and
negotiating new and unique product and rates to benefit
business travellers.
In addition, you’ll benefit from unique product, only
available through Corporate Traveller. Take SmartSTAY
for example. SmartSTAY gives you access to negotiated
discounts and value-added services at no additional
cost to you. Whether a free breakfast, car parking, room
upgrade or laundry service, SmartSTAY gives you more
savings, and packs more into your hotel budget.
In fact Corporate Traveller offers a complete portfolio
of travel services including ferries, transfers, passport,
visa and insurance requirements. And when it’s
something a little unusual you’re after, such as
a private jet, charter boat or other totally unique request,
we won’t blink an eye.

Our philosophies
1. Our People. Our company is our people. We care for our
colleagues’ health and wellbeing, their personal and professional
development and their financial security. We believe that work
should be challenging and fun for everyone and through work we
contribute to our community.
2. Our Customer. We recognise that our customers always have
a choice. Therefore a superior customer service experience,
provided with honesty, integrity and a great attitude, is key to our
company’s success, as is the travel experience we provide.
3. Profit. A fair margin resulting in a business profit is the key
measure of whether we are providing our customers with a product
and service they value.
4. Ownership. We believe each individual in our company should
have the opportunity to share in the company’s success through
outcome-based incentives, profit share, BOS and Employee Share
Schemes. It is important that business leaders and business team
members see the business they run as their business.
5. Incentives. Incentives are based on measurable and reliable
outcome-based KPIs. We believe that ‘what gets rewarded, gets
done’. If the right outcomes are rewarded, our company and our
people will prosper.
6. Brightness of Future. We believe our people have the right to
belong to a Team (family), a Village, an Area (tribe) and Nation
(hierarchy) that will provide them with an exciting future and a
supportive working community. They also have the right to see
a clear pathway to achieving their career goals. Promotion and
transfers from within will always be our first choice.
7. Our Standard Systems ‘One Best Way’. In our business there
is always ‘one best way’ to operate. These are standard systems
employed universally until a better way is shown. This improved
way becomes the ‘one best way system’. We value common sense
over conventional wisdom.
8. Family, Village, Tribe. Our structure is lean, flat and transparent,
with accessible leaders. There is a maximum of 4 and sometimes
5 layers. The village is an unfunded, self-help support group that
forms an integral part of our structure.
9. Taking Responsibility. We take full responsibility for our own
success or failure. We do not externalise. We accept that we have
total ownership and responsibility, but not always control. We
recognise and celebrate our individual and collective successes.
10. Egalitarianism & Unity. In our company, we believe that each
individual should have equal privileges and rights. In leisure and
corporate, in Australia and overseas, and in organically grown and
acquired businesses, there should be no ‘them and us’.
