3. INTRODUCTION R.B.I is a central bank of india established on april 1 st 1935 with provisions of r.b.i act 1934. central office of r.b.i established in calcutta . But permanently moved To mumbai 1937. orginally private owned, r.b.i was fully owned by government Of india since nationalization in 1949. r.b.i was setup on the recommendations of the hilton young commission. The Commission submitted report in the year 1926. it has 22 regional offices most of Them in state capitals
