MINUTE WEDDING

2. WEDDINGS OF ALL SHAPES
AND SIZES
There is no set way to plan a wedding nowadays. Some
people choose to wait a few years after getting engaged,
some people skip out on being engaged for long all
together. If you’re planning a wedding with limited time,
here’s a guide for you on how to plan efficiently.
3. 1.HIRE A WEDDING
PLANNER
Planning a wedding is a lot of work.
It truly can be a full time job which is
why there are so many people who
have made it a career. Your wedding
planner can take care of things the
day of or every detail within the
planning. They are ones in charge of
your vendors, scheduling or even
design for your décor.
4. 2.FIND A UNIQUE VENUE
Try out a restaurant, a
yacht charter, historic
building, museum, private
summer home, beach or
park area. Be creative!
Many times, these
locations are inexpensive
and look impressive!

5. 3.KEEP IT SIMPLE
The more details you need to incorporate into your wedding,
the more time consuming it is to plan your day. Keeping it
simple will cut down on time and expenses.
6. 4. STRATEGIC GUEST LIST
By keeping your guest list
smaller, there will be less
people to worry about on your
big day. Maybe plan a bigger,
relaxed party following your
wedding, like a back yard
BBQ or pot luck.
7. 5. THE ATTIRE
With a limited time to plan, it’s best if you
can select bridesmaid dresses that are from
a local store that doesn’t have to order
them for you. Ordering dresses from most
bridal stores can take months before they
come in and then lots of time for
alterations. Try a local store or have you
bridesmaids pick their own with guide lines
(all the same color tone, all the same
length, style etc). For men, they can usually
rent tuxes within a month from the big day
with no issues.
8. 6.UNEXPECTED CATERING

Wedding specific caterers book up well in advance but there are plenty of
options. Have a friend who is a good cook do the catering for you, make it a
potluck wedding, or bring in something a little different like a professional
BBQ, food truck or mobile bar handle the catering.
9. 7.FRIENDLY OFFICIANT
If you have a friend willing
to do so and your state
allows it, a person can get
licensed for a day to
officiate your wedding.
This is fun and
inexpensive.
10. 8.FUN FLOWERS
Pick up flowers from a local florist,
using flowers in season. In season
flowers are available immediately
and are the least expensive. Plus, no
one ever said your bouquets and
centerpieces have to be flowers. Try
a fun alternative, like feathers, fabric,
or even fruits and vegetables!

11. 9.#PHOTOGRAPHY
If you know a friend who is half
way decent with a camera, have
them take your formal photos for
you. For the candids, leave out
disposable cameras on the table
for your guests, use a wedding
photo app on your phone (like
wedpics) or use a hashtag for
instagram.
12. 10.EZ BAKE CAKE
If you know what kind of cake you
like already, why not just order it
from your favorite bakery or buy a
plain white cake from your local
supermarket or bakery and put
some flowers and a topper on. Or
try something different, like cake
pops or cookies!
