Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) New Payment
Technology (NPT) is an ambitious project undertaken by the agency to replace
the existing fare collection system with new smart system. The new fare
collection system offers variety of payment options to the riders. Some of them
are: Cash, refillable cards, Debit and Credit card media, NFC enabled Mobile
devices etc. The new system will enable fare collection on all SEPTA buses,
trolleys, subways, Regional Rails as well as SEPTA parking facilities
Roles & Responsibilities:
Handling validators(SMP) and handheld sales devices(HSD).
Installation & commissioning of new SMP and HSD software.
