1. Computer Viruses
After my first home desktop computer had plunged into an unrecoverable crashing
spiral from untreated threats and viruses, which unfortunately frid the firewall leaving the
computer and all of it's components vulnerable to anything that attacked it. The youthfulness
that I possessed led me to unknowingly let the computer operate with the lack of security.
Shortly after being exposed to all the unkown threats the software and hardware of the
computer began to malfunction. With non-stop pop-ups accompanied by random connections
and disconnections to wi-fi, and unexpected reboots were amongst the list of problems caused
before an ultimate system crash. Upon the late inspection of the computer's system functions, I
revealed all the viruses and loops that resulted in the crash. Subsequently, I noticed two viruses
that contributed to my computer's system failures most.
One virus was the polymorphic virus (www.computerhope.com), a virus that encypts
itself in different ways and each time it infects your computer. This makes it harder for antivirus
programs to detect and locate the viruses using string searches. A way to prevent polymorphic
viruses is to keep all virus protection software up to date.
The other virus is the memory resident virus (www.lumension.com) This is a virus that
settles inside the computers memory and activate when you OS runs followed by infecting other
opened files. Ways to prevent this virus is to install the latest anti-virus and anti-malware
programs to secure system protection. In all, you should never use your computer, cell phone,
tablet or any other syncable device until your are for certain it has the proper protection from
viruses and identity theft. Or the result may be a lot similar to my first desktop computer
experience.
