In 1953, Suzy Parker interpreted Hubert de Givenchy’s red Chinese embroidery
umbrella-shaped dresses and dark green silk shirts.
In 1945, Hubert de Givenchy who was still a student in art school had begun the
internship in Jnoques Fath workshop. Later, he worked with designers such as
Robert Piquet, Lucien Ldiong and Elss Schiaparelli etc. In 1952, he launched his
first designed series-mainly with white cotton and combined with elegant
embroidery and fabulous beads. Since then, his fashion house’s status has been
established.
Whenever Audrey Hepburn appeared, he would usually wear clothes designed
by Givenchy. They met in 1953. At very first, they were clients and bosses.
