About Veraison Wine Brokers

Veraison Wine Brokers was established in 2012 as a new venture by Kevin
Schwartz. After 35 years in the hospitality business he transitioned thoroughly into the world of wine. Schwartz worked for 20 of those years at the
Grove Park Inn in Asheville, North Carolina where he was given the task of
developing the wine program into a world-class enterprise. This included a
unique opportunity to replace the ‘private label’ wine for the Resort and
create /blend a line of wine under the label “Grove Park Inn Wine Partners”.
Schwartz also served on the Board of Directors of the Asheville Independent
Restaurant Association (AIR) and Distinguished Restaurants of North America (DiRoNA). Both enabled him to work and to build relationships with restaurateurs on a local and national level.
Using his broad experience and wine contacts, Schwartz opened Veraison
Wine Brokers in Asheville, North Carolina. Veraison seeks out family owned
wineries with high quality wines. Many of the wines are low production wines
that the winemakers and families put their heart and soul into vintage after
vintage. Whether an entry level wine or a Grand Cru from Burgundy the prices reflect outstanding value.
The Wines
We are very proud of the brands that we represent. Each wine is a work of art
that is living, breathing and evolving. They express the terroir and region
where they are grown giving the person who drinks it a true sense of place.
Most of the wines have extremely small production and have been made by a
member of the same family for generations. All the winemakers have a
dedication to quality that sets these wines apart from the mass produced
wines littering the market place these days.
