3. Greetings from the Florida Council for Exceptional Children!
The Florida Council for Exceptional Children (FCEC) Executive Board is inviting your organization to be one of a limited
number of exhibitors at the leading statewide conference in Exceptional Student Education in Florida. We proudly host
an annual state CEC Conference in October and a Leadership Conference in June. Annually the FCEC State
Conference hosts over 350 participants and the Leadership Conference hosts approximately 50 key FCEC
leaders. Joining us at various Florida tourist destinations are general and special educators, administrators, university
professors, college students, related service personnel, parents, and others who work with students with special needs
throughout the entire state of Florida and beyond. Your organization needs to be a part of this leading event in Special
Education.
CEC is the largest international professional organization dedicated to improving the educational success of
individuals with disabilities and/or gifts and talents. FCEC is one of the oldest state units of CEC that has been
able to produce a cutting edge conference with sessions and events that highlight the latest research in special
education. Don’t miss this great opportunity to interact with education professionals in Florida! In addition to
sponsorship and exhibitors opportunities, the FCEC is requesting your help in obtaining donations for the
conference door prizes. Merchandise may include, but is not limited to: educational materials, objects of art, crafts,
tools, gift certificates, hotel accommodations, jewelry, sports items (event tickets, collectables, memorabilia, etc.)
passes (theme parks, museums, theaters, concerts, etc.) or themed baskets. Monetary donations are always welcome.
We recognize that these are very difficult times in which to operate a business, and often difficult to make donations.
Yet, we also see this as a terrific opportunity for local businesses to generate some additional revenue from the folks
visiting our area from across the state. We will be more than happy to provide receipts for any items, vouchers, etc.,
that you might be able to donate. Your business name will be listed in the conference program if you donate any
items or make monetary contributions, reaching all of the conference participants!
Questions? Please feel free to email fcecconference@gmail.com. Additionally, you may visit the Florida CEC Website
at http://www.floridacec.org for more information. We at Florida CEC certainly appreciate you taking the time and effort
to consider supporting our mission of improved outcomes for persons with disabilities.
Sincerely,
Conference Team @Florida CEC and our hosting Local Chapters!
