2. Masthead Ideas
My music magazine will be called "BLING
BLING" I got this name from free association, I
randomly said a word that sounds catchy then I
said another one which led me to the word
"Bling" then it reminded me a song called bling
bling by Lil Wayne. It also relates to my music
genre (Hip-Hop) that I will be working on. The
word "BLING BLING" is short, snappy and
catchy. I got this word from free association

5. Target Audience
My target audience will be people ages 16-24. This links back to Rolling Stone and
Music Connection on why their target audience age is similar, also the reason why I
chose this age range because they are mature enough for the contents that will be
in the magazine. The target audience gender will be aimed for both genders
because of equality and girls have been participated in Hip-Hop so there will be
contents aimed for girls as well as boys. Linking back to Rolling Stone mediakit
Their most of their readers are aged 18-24, their most gender readers are men
(7,784) but the difference (4,646 ladies) is not huge so there is no harm including to
aim females also.
6. Publisher
Bauer Media Group
Publishers – Kerrang and Q Magazine
Distributers
The reason I chose Bauer Media Group because they are UK’s most influential
media brand network. They are professional in what they do. They don’t publish
any of my case studies I looked at but they publish magazines that show different
genres and not just one.
7. DPS Qs – Drake
You sing and rap right, do you get any backlash from the Hip Hop community?
What inspiration do you get for writing down your lyrics?
What made you thrive for the road of success?
What made you go into the music industry, why not carry on with your acting
career?
Do you feel comfortable with your record label, are they supporting every move
you make and how you present yourself to the world?
