Materials Manager
I provide leadership across all shifts to ensure that the warehouse operates efficiently
with the optimum level of personnel in order to meet customer demand. I develop
departmental budgets, and am able to manage costs within those budgets. I work
with other sites, suppliers, freight forwarders, and customers as needed to address
supply/logistics issues, including customer supplied packaging, and ensure inventory
accuracies within the warehouse operations by maintaining a robust system practice
of cycle counting. I investigate inventory errors and implement corrective actions, as
well as report and drive key metrics for warehouse operations, including safety,

arise, and develop and implement corrective actions. I also ensure that robust safety

housekeeping and other related initiatives. In conjunction with Purchasing, I negotiate
packaging supply agreements, and develop systems to ensure continuity of
necessary supplies, and I work effectively with all functions, particularly Operations &
Customer Service, to ensure that customer needs are met. In addition, I drive and
support key company initiatives such as MMOG, CTPAT, Export Compliance, and
any other logistics-related programs as needed.

I provide oversight, management, and leadership to daily manufacturing activities and
drive continual improvement, exercising supervision over associates in respect to
safety, quality, delivery, and cost, ensuring all company polices are followed and the
proper operation of equipment. I conduct performance appraisals and administer
corrective actions, ensuring the highest level of quality and ISO compliance, as well
as developing, maintaining, ensuring, and teaching quality requirements. I maintain
work standard and process documentation, perform internal audits, hold associates
accountable for quality performance and adherence to work standards, set
performance targets, monitor, and hold associates accountable to meeting the
targets. I provide leadership and direction for all areas of production including
determining productivity benchmarks, monitoring work cell performance and

morale and safety. I also handled vacation requests and scheduling, as well as
scheduling personnel to work any overtime hours that may be required. In addition, I
filed any injury reports that may be necessary, and handled any disciplinary issues
that may have arisen with production personnel. I monitored production efficiency on
a daily and weekly basis, with regular reports submitted to the Manufacturing
Manager, I coordinated and completed daily, monthly and annual inventory reports, I
also mediated KAIZEN events since completing KAIZEN facilitator training. I have
completed Daimler Chrysler's Container Shipping training seminar, and worked with
Chrysler's SMART system. Also, I kept the maintenance personnel informed of any
