Activities were my favourite because I’m an active person and enjoy being outside. I also enjoyed that we had to work together on some activities which helped our teams get to know each other better. The food was very good which I’m glad about because we were always hungry after working hard on the activities. The Abernethy staff were amazing and made the week so much better. They were very supportive and were willing to answer any questions we had. Also, I think it was a good thing that we didn’t know anybody before we went because it meant that we had to talk to strangers on the bus and when we arrived. The lectures we were given each morning were very interesting and made us think about what makes a good leader. One of my favourite talks was the farmer telling us about when he bought an ostrige and then didn’t know what to do with it. I know I was supposed to talk about the bad parts as well but... I couldn’t think of any so I’ll just talk about what I learned instead.
Lesson learned: trust your team
Teamwork is important when you’re trying to get things done efficiently.
