Dynamic Positioning Training
 DP / PM awareness courses have been created in response to the
increasing concern by drilling operators and oil majors, that there is a
shortage of experience and a diluted competency with regard to Dynamic
Positioning, and the specific aspects of drilling.
 This is due to the very rapid expansion of the drilling market and the
global fleet of floating drilling assets.

A Dynamic Positioning (DP) system is: (Section 2)
1. computer-based control system
2. automatically controls rig position and heading
3. calculated thruster forces
4. input from position reference systems and DP sensors
5. complex modelling and filtering techniques

Dynamic Positioning Training  DP / PM awareness courses have been created in response to the increasing concern by drilling operators and oil majors, that there is a shortage of experience and a diluted competency with regard to Dynamic Positioning, and the specific aspects of drilling.  This is due to the very rapid expansion of the drilling market and the global fleet of floating drilling assets.

WSOG – Well Specific Operating Guidelines Well Specific Operating Guidelines – Outline Definition GREEN ADVISORY YELLOW RED Normal operations – all systems fully functional and operating within acceptable performance limits. Advisory status – approaching performance limits or reportable alarm status. Operations may continue whilst risks are being assessed. A failure has occurred that does not affect DP redundancy. Actionable status – pre defined performance limits reached, component or system failure resulting in loss of redundancy. The rig / vessel maintain position although the vessel has lost its redundancy. Emergency status – pre defined operational or performance limits exceeded, component or system failure resulting in loss of control or position. No.of DGseach Bus As per FMEA and CAMO Watch Circle Limits Defined for each well and location.
