2. This is an establishing shot of lea valley school, this setting follows the conventions of a teen movie because most teenage films are set in a schooling environment as it is a fundamental part of a teenagers life.
3. This is a long shot of the schools gym, including the male characters working out before prom. This follows the convention that the popular boys are masculine and want to be admired by the females. The red and black costumes symbolises the power and danger they have.
4. This is a long shot of the two main female characters arguing in a stereotypical environment for teenage girls. Here we have broken the stereotypical conventions of how friends are portrayed as they are usually loyal but in our clip are evil and betraying to their best friend, this is shown through the black costume worn.
5. This is a close up of a conversation with the two female characters via email. This follows the conventions of teenagers regularly using technology and the colloquial language they use to communicate to one another.
6. This is a medium shot of the two main characters outside the prom hall. The prom being a stereotypical setting in a teen movie. The idea of prom being shown through the use of costume with them wearing suits and dresses.
7. This is a close up of one of the characters. This follows the stereotypical popular girl of the school. This is reflected through the gold ring which symbolises power. The costume of the black dress symbolises she is evil and the glasses symbolising that she is cunning in her evilness.
