- Thank you, Katie. It is my pleasure and distinct honor to be here with you this morning. I really appreciate this invitation from the 4th Annual I.S.. Thanks to the organizers, UT BOC, and, of course, to all of you in the audience. I was told the audience would not have any trouble at all making a choice between the IS and the Today Show broadcasting from campus. It proves that our audience is highly supportive and care about enough the topics of this morning. It reminded me of a talk I attended when I was in college many years ago. The talk was advertised as "The Problem of the World." The speaker got up and said, "The problem of the world is humanity. Humanity has two problems: ignorance and apathy." And he sat down.[Laughter.]I wasn't sure if I had missed something, so I turned to the fellow next to me, and I said, "What did the speaker say?" And the fellow next to me said, "Buddy, I don't know and I don't give a damn."[Laughter.]So it's good to know this is an audience that does know and does give a damn.
