I am currently self-employed owner at Rhoda’s Room. Running an e-commerce website
(www.rhodasroom.com), marketing, promoting, exhibiting and selling my own hand-crafted
designer jewellery and accessories for bridal and occasion.

Crafts Team Leader
I am currently a volunteer at the charity chART. As Crafts Team Leader I organize and devise craft
activities, run workshops, liaise with Hospices, provide help at fundraisers and raise public
awareness.

I had my own studio space at this working pottery where I was a freelance Ceramicist and
Illustrator.

4. A five day placement shadowing the head of the Art and Design Foundation Diploma and ceramic
tutor, David Pyrke to gain insight into teaching in the post-compulsory sector. As well as observing
I assisted foundation students.

One week placement at a working pottery and studio, assisting and gaining insight into how a
pottery is run as a business and the possibilities of a portfolio career i.e. teaching ceramics
alongside one's own creative work and Commissions.

Aardman Animations, Bristol
I spent an exciting two week placement at Aardman working as part of the set dressing team,
designing and creating props and sets for the 'Shaun the Sheep' series, first shown on BBC 1 in
2007. I also observed animators and 3D artists working in various media, including metal, clay,
textiles, as well as the obvious plasticine!
2005-2007
Arts and Crafts Leader, Education Otherwise Group, Walbottle, Newcastle upon Tyne
Volunteer work with a group of thirty home educated 3-14 year olds. I devised and organised arts
and crafts activities for weekly meetings.

Peoples Theatre, Newcastle upon Tyne
I worked for a few days as a volunteer member of the construction team at the People's Theatre,
Newcastle, assisting the set Designer, painting and assembling sets for a pantomime production.
